Just a stone's throw from Sandy Lane, this apartment is available on a one bedroom basis, as well as two. By using only one bedroom you will receive the use of the whole apartment except for one bedroom/bathroom (of your choice) which will be locked off. The master bedroom is beautifully furnished with a king size four poster bed, and has stunning views of the sea. Bedroom 2 can be used either as a king size or twin. This luxurious ground floor apartment opens directly onto the lively and beautiful Paynes Bay Beach - arguably one of the best on the West Coast. Romantic dining can be taken from the air-conditioned living room, or outside in its own private garden - both overlooking the sea, and cool off in your very own private plunge/spa pool. Our housekeeper/cook is on hand 6 days per week to cook in the fully equipped Italian kitchen and make your stay truly relaxing. There are many superb restaurants - either within walking distance or a short taxi ride away.

This gorgeous 2 bed ground floor apartment opens directly onto the lively & beautiful Paynes Bay Beach and can be rented either as one bedroom or two. The only ground floor apartment in these condos to have stunning sea views from both living area & luxurious master bedroom, it is beautifully furnished with all home comforts including a fully equipped Italian kitchen, 2 luxury en-suites, air-conditioning and ceiling fans, wireless internet, cable TV and 24 hour security. Our fantastic housekeeper, who will be happy to cook for you, is on hand 6 days a week to make your stay truly relaxing. So why not enjoy a romantic meal in The Mahogany Tree's own private garden, listening to the sea, and cool off in your very own private plunge/spa pool! There are many superb restaurants either within walking distance or just a short taxi ride away. Water sports are readily available from the beach. Swim out to the turtles or simply enjoy a stunning walk to Sandy Lane, the next bay north.

Security: There is a 24 hour security guard on site. The property has a lockable gate to the beach, and electrically operated gates on the road side. The security guards are very helpful, and are responsible for putting out beach chairs and parasols belonging to the apartments.

Apartment Management & Housekeeper: Our managing agents are very reputable and long established on the island. They are always contactable if there should be any queries or problems. A health and safety book with all relevant telephone numbers can be found in the apartment for your perusal.

Our very friendly and helpful housekeeper is also on hand six days per week. She is available to prepare and cook one main meal per day if required. She cleans and makes/changes beds every day and supplies clean towels and linen. She is also happy to launder your own clothes.

The Beach: Although we have our own private sun beds on the beach, please note that no beaches in Barbados are private. Paynes Bay is a lively & popular beach with all water sports available to hire. Simply swim out to snorkel with the turtles, or if you prefer, take a very short boat trip.

About Karen

Our main home is in the UK. We love to travel and have always enjoyed the sea and the sun. We also have a motor yacht which we love to sail in the Med. We first visited Barbados in 1989 and fell in love immediately! The first property we owned was in Holetown - but our young family outgrew it!

Karen purchased this condo in 2007

Why Karen chose Holders Hill

We were looking for a larger property when we were shown the plans of Coral Cove. We were the first people to buy and the first to move in. We had previously owned a ground floor property and felt it important from the point of view of our young family who loved to come and go to the beach (they are now adults!). Paynes Bay is a stunning beach, second to none. There was plenty of life for the kids and beautiful swimming and walks.

Effective from 1st July 2018, the Government of Barbados have implemented a Room Rate Levy. This will be 2.5% of the total room cost, up to a maximum of US$10 per bedroom per night. Our managing agents on the island will be responsible for collecting this tax from our guests at the beginning of any stay in our apartment.

Unfortunately we cannot accept very young children due to the dangers of our pool. Please check with us regarding age first.
Non-mobile babies may be accommodated in with the guests in the master bedroom. There is an additional charge for the crib hire, payable to our managing agents on the island.

When hiring as one bedroom, the second bedroom is locked off, but for seniors and disabled who require walk in showers, use of bathroom #2 can be accommodated.

Tropical Paradise

This is a beautiful property that is literally right on the beach! Accommodations are wonderful and the location is ideal. We walked to several of the restaurants (Daphne's, Scarlet) in the area and Holetown is less than two miles away with a large grocery store and several very good restaurants (the Tides, Nishi, and Fusion). Staff was amazing and the service impeccable - we hope we have a chance to return!!

Better than we could have hoped for!

This was our first trip to lovely Barbados from Texas!!!! We could not have had a better experience and really plan to return next year! The fact that we would repeat this trip and that so many others do, speaks highly of this villa and the team of people that serve it! Jasmine took such good care of us, Romeo and his staff were helpful and friendly. Every detail and question we had in planning our trip were handled efficiently by the management team! We would heartily recommend this little piece of paradise to our friends and family!

As amazing as ever!

I'm starting to lose count how many times we've stayed here now, but there is a reason that we keep coming back here and that's because it's Paradise!

The apartment is decorated to such a high standard and it's beautifully kept, if I could steal the bed I would as it's even more comfortable than my own (when is that ever true when you stay away from home?!).

This year we spent a lot of time relaxing on the beach, people watching and drinking rum, the perfect escape from every day life, just what we needed!

Jasmine is so lovely, she took such good care of us and will always find time to have a chat, plus her cooking is amazing, you couldn't wish for a better housekeeper!

The security team who are led by Romeo are always on hand and do so much more than you would expect them to, they really are great!

Everything was perfect and our next booking is already made....November 2014 can't come soon enough :-)

We spent 7 glorious days in Barbados at this beautiful apartment. There are so many highlights to mention. First, the location can not be beat. The apartment is literally steps from beautiful Paynes Bay beach. As you enter the apartment you see the vista of beach, sea, and sky. Sunsets were beautiful and every evening we had dinner on the patio looking at the water, and hearing the pounding surf. The apartment was spotless, well appointed, and having Roz cook and clean for us was fantastic! The bedrooms were comfortable and baths were of the highest quality finishes. The apartment is nearby to a great restaurant, The Cliff, which we enjoyed as a special "last night" dinner, is close to Sandy Lane for spa appointments and golf, and we found a great walking route for exercise and seeing the monkeys! We would recommend this property to friends ( and have already) and we will be back next year. Thank you so much for making your home available to us!"

This was our second time staying at the apartment and I can quite honestly saying it was just like coming home. Roz was there to welcome us like old friends, everything was just as perfect as we had remembered it and we just fell back into the holiday life within minutes.

The Mahogany Tree is located on the ground floor of the very popular condo development, Coral Cove, on Paynes Bay Beach. Situated within the highly desirable area of St James on the platinum West Coast. Many luxury hotels are close by - Sandy Lane is within walking distance around the next cove, and Tamarind Cove and The House, also on Paynes Bay Beach. The famous Daphnes restaurant is also in easy walking distance on the beach - great for lunch!

There is an excellent buoyed off swimming area in front of the apartment. Swim out to join the turtles, or snorkel on the reef close by. All water sports are readily available on the beach.

The apartment is very close to the Sandy Lane Golf Club, and Royal Westmoreland is close by.

Holetown is a very short drive where many restaurants, shops, banks, supermarket etc are at hand. Cave Shepherd, Barbados' main department store is close by for duty free shopping.

The capital, Bridgetown is only a short taxi ride. Excellent for duty free shopping.
