This London holiday home is within convenient walking distance from multiple grocery stores, ATMs and charming little coffee shops, with the greatest draw its proximity to the fabulous and unique Borough Market. The nearest tube station is Tower Bridge, allowing easy access to the rest of London and a 15 minute journey to the West End.

Within walking distance of the Thames pathway, an amazing array of restaurants nearby and its fantastic balcony overlooking the cobbled street.
Eagle Wharf was a refuge after days of touring and enjoying London. It's stocked with comfortable furniture spread through a varied, roomy floor plan. The colours are warm and welcoming, and there is even a cast iron warehouse support beam which has been exposed and, aside from being functional and necessary, acts as an art piece in the livingroom. My family and I enjoy preparing and eating good food, and the kitchen was perfectly sized and well appointed with everything we needed to cook the ingredients we had bought during our day. And the location... to have Tower Bridge just outside our building's door, and London Bridge train and tube station just a few minutes walk away was truly the icing on the cake that was our vacation. There's even 3 cafes and a Starbucks in the plaza just outside the entrance. Nothing more needs to be said.
We would like to also offer a warm and well deserved compliment to the staff at Ivy Lettings who were so easy to deal with, and so actively obliging to us during our stay. Well done to you all.
We truly enjoyed most things about this small but well decorated and well equipped flat in the Shad Thames area of Bankside. The furniture including the bed was all comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed for a two week stay, the wifi worked well, and we loved the location, right at the end of Tower Bridge. While the description says that two Tube stops are 10 minutes away, they underestimate by 5 to 10 minutes, and we are fast walkers. Nonetheless, the frequent RV1 bus stations are nearby, and we navigated the excellent London public transit system quite well. There are many nice restaurants nearby, from a high end Conran to cozy pubs. The Sainsbury Local around the corner was convenient, reasonably priced, and well stocked. Ivy Lettings was quite responsive in many ways, particularly at check in, when we got lost finding our way to the flat, and a day or so later when we discovered that the promised hair dryer had gone missing. We were disappointed that we were provided only one set of towels each, with no washcloths included, to last a week. We were quite happy to see them go. Our main concern was the noise that came from the narrow street below. The large windows in the flat allowed all noises in, and the street had quite an echo chamber effect. Since it's a nice property, we wouldn't recommend against it exactly, but we do suggest that renters bring either earplugs or a white noise machine/app to counteract the street noise in order to sleep through the night.
My wife and I just returned from a seven night stay at Eagle Wharf. It's a great flat in a quiet location but easily accessible to many things. The flat had everything expected and needed such as a washer/dryer, free WiFi, and a kitchen so we could fix some of our own food. Maybe most important was the comfortable bed. We slept really, really well the whole time.
If you plan to or want to take London public transportation it's really convenient too. It took us a couple of days to figure out which busses could take us to London Bridge Station and which ones across the Tower Bridge but once we got that we were set and traveled all over London without any issues.
Our contact met us at the flat just as we were told and everything was ready for our arrival. It even has a small balcony I enjoyed. We felt extremely secure and safe the whole time there. We would stay here again.

Is there a more iconic London image than that of Tower Bridge? Together with the neighbouring London Bridge, these link London’s financial hub on the northern bank, rather selfishly dubbed ‘The City’, to the district of Southwark below. To the south, the jagged architectural masterpiece of the Shard, the European Union’s tallest building, towers over the otherwise flat and homely Borough, itself served by the bustling Borough Market, where food vendors jostle amiably to proffer a take-away meal to be enjoyed sitting in the grounds of Southwark Cathedral. Walking along the river one can take in the Southbank at leisure, from the imposing Tate Modern or sobering Imperial War Museum, to HMS Belfast and the Shakespeare Globe Theatre, or possibly all of the above from atop the London Eye! These loftier sights are offset by the quaint pleasures of browsing the pop-up book fair under Waterloo Bridge or taking in a street performance by the River Thames. Being so central is a real delight.
