A charming top floor Kensington home with wooden floors and a fabulous private roof terrace, perfect for al fresco dining. Ideally situated on the Old Brompton Road, this quiet and appealing London vacation rental provides smart and expansive living spaces.
Living & Eating
An open-plan living and dining area has a dining table to seat 6 guests and access to the vast roof terrace. There is a separate fully equipped kitchen with all modern conveniences. Tastefully decorated and furnished in a classic English style. There is also a large flat screen television in the living room.
Bedrooms & Bathrooms
The master bedroom has a welcoming king sized bed (5ft wide) with plenty of natural light and storage space. The second bedroom has a double (4.5ft wide) sofa-bed. There is one bathroom with toilet, basin and bath with built-in shower.
Access & Suitability
The apartment is on the fourth floor, will elevator access. There is one flight of stairs as you enter the holiday home. Once up the flight of stairs, the rooms are arranged across one level.
While you're up on your roof terrace, take a look at the street below and remember that it hasn’t always been the playground of royalty. The pub a mere hundred meters away, now the Pembroke, was reportedly the stalking ground for three separate serial killers. Glance a little further and note the world-famous Troubadour, above which, in a little coffee house, the Private Eye was founded.
Whatever you’re plans in London there is a huge variety of sites, restaurants and activities all within striking distance. There are plenty of supermarkets close by including a Marks and Spencer’s and a Sainsbury’s. For a friendly local pub try the Blackbird. Or if you are in the mood for something a little more bohemian then check out the world-famous Troubadour. This place has a well-deserved reputation for its fantastic cocktails, character and live music- the Mumford and Sons played here only a few years ago. Whatever you’re taste this is a food-lovers dream.
Maybe take in Christie’s, the globally renowned auction house, located just half a mile away. Countless legendary lots have passed through here including Audrey Hepburn’s timeless black dress from the all-time classic Breakfast at Tiffany’s, and 20 of Elton John’s cars! The Thames, Battersea Park and Hyde Park are only a little further afield as well as the Albert Hall and the V & A. London’s most fashionable streets for shopping are also within easy reach
You are only a five-minute walk from Earls Court station, if you do want to go further afield, the underground will take you directly to most places in and around central London.

We chose this property for its wooden flooring, classic English furnishings, its expansive and exquisite living spaces and its exceptional location close to Earl's Court tube station.
The fabulous roof terrace is absolutely fantastic. The wooden dining table is also stunning.
I keep coming back to this top floor flat, which says it all. It is comfortable, tasteful, cosy and full of character and the agents ensure it is always welcoming and well equipped. Unusually for London, an expansive, private roof terrace with an amazing view, provides outside space which effectively doubles the area of the flat. Communications to other parts of London are excellent, but the close location itself is buzzing. There is a variety of little restaurants and pubs, some of which are known to entertain royal visitors; it's close to the classiest retail outlets in Knightsbridge and the Kings Road, and for culture within easy distance of of the Albert Hall and V&A. Important for sole travellers like me, I feel perfectly safe in the area at all times. The whole package brings me back , but the location, the character, and the furnished roof terrace really sell it to me. It is impossible to find anything negative to say about this flat; thinking about it, the fan in the bathroom could be a bit quieter!
Upmarket Chelsea forms a latticework of safe and quiet streets, peopled by monied Londoners, literary types and the native ‘Sloane Rangers’ who choose the area for its bustling cafes, independent businesses and artisan restaurants. The area’s main thoroughfare is the King’s Road, a delightful mix of chain stores and high-end boutiques. The area is home to the impressive exhibitions at the Saatchi Gallery, the horticultural displays of the Chelsea Physics Garden and the splendor of Sir Christopher Wren’s Royal Hospital, which plays annual host to the Chelsea Flower Show. You take a hop over to the river’s southern bank to reach charming Battersea, towered over by the decommissioned Power Station. Nearby sits Battersea Park, replete with fountains and boating lakes, delightful gardens, a small children’s zoo and the magnificent Peace Pagoda. Chelsea’s wealth has slowly spread to its more southerly cousin, and today the area is home to luxury riverside apartments and posh eateries.
