One Of Three Rentals On Our 8 Acre, Partially Wooded And Peaceful Property.
About Pam Oakes
We are Steve and Pam Oakes from West Chester, Ohio. Steve is a retired police sergeant from our local police department and Pam currently works for a local Jeweler in West Chester. We have been enjoying Dale Hollow for close to 40 years and feel there is no better place for quality time with family and friends.
Pam Oakes purchased this Cabin in 1999
Why Pam Oakes chose Byrdstown
Steve's father purchased the property in 1999 and passed it down to the family for future generations to enjoy. We feel blessed to have such a beautiful place to call our home away from home.
What makes this Cabin unique
We love having a place with room to spread out, but also close to the lake. We enjoy boating for much of the day then returning to the property for dinner, corn hole, cards and quality time around the fire pit. The views of the lake from Oak Hill Road are just beautiful and the walk down to the lake from the end of the road quite an adventure. We have several family and friends who say there is no better fishing than Dale Hollow :)

Really enjoyable stay!
The property was very clean. Kitchen utensils were provided for ease of in-home cooking. The coffee machine was a nice touch!
Property owners were friendly, but well respectful of privacy.
Would definitely return for another stay here in the future.
Only downside was lengthy drives to food or groceries.
Exceeded expectations! Well appointed and very peaceful.
Owner was responsive, process easy. Great little place for two to getaway and unwind! Very peaceful and quiet but plenty to do in surrounding towns. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Enjoyable stay in Byrdstown!
This is not our first stay at the Oakes cabins, and it won't be our last! These cabins are so cute, clean, and the location is great. Pam is also very responsive if you have any questions or concerns. Looking forward to our next visit!!
Delightful Place to Stay
We were very impressed by the cleanliness, enjoyed the decor, and loved being in the woods. My only suggestion would be mentioning that the property is very close to the Eagle Cove Marina. Not realizing this, we docked our boat at Sunset, which is quite a distance, about a 10 or 15 minute drive each way. Not a problem, but we would have preferred a 2 mile drive and cruising a different part of the lake. We look forward to returning and docking at Eagle Cove. Our main objective is cruising the lake. Many thanks to Pam for a delightful place to stay. Lois
The property was very nice.
Fun time with friends and lake.
We thoroughly enjoyed the very clean cabin. It was perfect for us. We will be come back again.
Enjoy all the beauty and nature that the lake and surrounding area have to offer. Boater as well as non-bothers will enjoy the laid back atmosphere and beautiful, scenic drives/hikes/walks. Sunset Resort and Eagle Cove Marina are both within 4 miles of the property. Both marinas have boat launching ramps and slips available. The Cordell Hull birthplace museum and Bunkum Cave are a short drive and directly across the street from each other on Cordell Hull Drive. If you enjoy antiquing, take a 30 minute drive to Livingston and walk the town square to visit several charming shops. The J & B Stuff store on 111 in Byrdstown also has a few antiques and is quite unique.
