Description

Eberstein Chalet Rental Photos and Description

wooden and stone built chalet, sleeps 8 people

The Almhaus is of wood and natural stone construction with an open plan interior. Furnishings are tasteful and traditional providing a cosy and warm living area in the Winter and light and spacy environment in the Summer months.

The kitchen is fully equipped with gas cooker, fridge, dishwasher, wood burning oven

The property has 2 compact sleeping rooms- 1 small double bedroom with wardrobe and 1 bunk bed room with closets

Additionally there are 2 low ceilinged larger attic bedrooms with floor mattresses and ample space to sleep a further 6 adults. (These sleeping units have small steep wooden stairs so would not be suitable for elderly guests).

There is a large dining table with panoramic views and a general living area with table/chairs and a settee.

Large french windows open to the terrace and garden area where, in Summer, one can enjoy the mountain view whilst having lunch or evening dinner and watch the sun go down. The garden has a flat lawned area for sunbathing or playing

The Saualpe region of Carinthia offers many outdoor activities as well as many well known tourist attractions.

The village of Diex is an established centre for hill walking with many forest tracks and wayleaves marked. It also has the famous church and several restaurants.

The regional capital city is Klagenfurt (served several times a week by Ryanair) and has a beautiful old centre as well as modern facilities such as shopping mall, cinema, hotels and fine restaurants.

Klagenfurt is situated on the shore of the Wörthersee lake, which is the largest lake in the Carinthian region (20 km long). At the lakeshore there are many restaurants and bars as well as other leisure attractions - beach facilities, swimming, boat hire, boat sightseeing, water skiing etc as well as a water taxi service into the city itself (via the canal). Additionally there is Minimundus (model world of famous landmarks), a planetarium, a reptile zoo, beach volleyball courts and a large public garden.

St. Georgen am Langsee has a natural lake which offers swimming and beach facilities during the Summer and a 11th Century monastery which holds many concerts and courses during the season. A golf course is next to the lake.

The famous Burg Hochosterwitz Castle fabled for its role during the Turkish invasion and crusades is open from April - October.

estate 2014

  • 5 of 5

Paolo

Spacious holiday home and a fantastic retreat!

  • 5 of 5

We had a very nice holiday in this well furnished and interesting holiday home. The Cottage is easy accessible by car. The house is unique and full of character. It felt immediately like home from home. We had everything we needed. It was very clean and Heidi was a great host. We had a fantastic view onto the Corinthian mountains. The whole area is so picturesque. We would definitely like to come back again.

A mountain chalet/house located near Diex, a town dated from the 10th Century and famous for its sunny location, it’s 12th century twin steepled church and as a walking centre for the Saualpe mountain range.

The property location is very private, surrounded by forest and has a good sized garden. The house itself is unique, individually designed and built in a fairy tale style with an interlocking wooden structure.

Situated near a working farm between Diex and the larger town of Brückl the views are panoramic and spectacular. The famous 11th Century castle of Burg Hochosterwitz is clearly visible in between other peaks of the Alps.

Also within a 30 minutes drive is St. Georgen with its 11th century monastery and the Längsee lake which, in Summer is a popular swimming location with biking, tennis, riding and beach facilities. There is also a golf course near the lake.
