Three bedrooms, all with mountain views. Main bathroom plus en-suite.

Harold's Farm is located on the side of Kinder Scout in the Peak District National Park. It faces south with long range views of the Kinder valley. The farmhouse has recently undergone a major refurbishment but retains many original features including exposed oak beams and original stone flag floors. There are log burning stoves and underfloor heating, two bathrooms with under-tile heating and a clean and practical kitchen. There are many walking and cycling trails and Hayfield village (location for the BBC series 'The Village') is nearby with several pubs, small shops and cafes. Please note that parking is limited to 2 cars - Harold's Farm is not suitable for large gatherings or parties.

Brilliant weekend!

Just on our way home from a fabulous weekend at Harold's Farm. Great communication with Michael from start to finish. Lovely cottage, perfect location & we even had the sunshine! We will definitely be returning! What a fantastic place you have!

Harold's Farm Holiday Rental Property

We found Harold's Farm to be a superb holiday rental property, ideally located for the north Peak District. The farmhouse was extremely comfortable and very well appointed; a real home-from-home. The owner provided clear information, both before and during our stay and we really enjoyed the peaceful environment. Hayfield village has excellent pubs and restaurants. We cannot recommend Harold's Farm highly enough and hope to return soon.

Stylish comfort in tranquil setting

Just like in the pictures it was wonderfully located in farmland with hill views and stone character on the outside, yet spacious and luxurious on the inside (barring one old sofa). The heated stone floor was amazing and the bathrooms were new and warm. The kitchen was also new and large but with old style charm. Windows were large so plenty of light and bedrooms good size (one was very large) A travel cot and high chair were supplied for our baby and the cottage was big enough for our two uncles to not be disturbed by family noise and give us space for the child. Hill walks passed the drive but the walkers were not obtrusive. We had a wonderful relaxing time there and wished we could stay longer.

PS Although there was no outdoor play area really for very young kids there was an excellent playground in the village for all ages.

Peak District Paradise

Harold’s Farm is a veritable retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Situated at the foot of Kinder Scout, it offers visitors the opportunity to relax in the silence and to explore the surrounding countryside and reservoir. Yet, within a short walk – or even shorter bike ride, as we did – all the amenities you need are to hand. Within half a mile, there is the Sportsman pub where food is deceptively good, as are the ales and ciders. Further on is the village of Hayfield where you’ll find shops and eateries.

The cottage, itself, is beautifully simple in its decoration and comprehensively equipped with everything (and more) that you could need, including two log burners with wood aplenty to burn.

We found the property to be clean and tidy and exactly as described. No nasty surprises here. Bedrooms are all of a good size and accommodate six people comfortably.

The owner was pleasant, very easy to deal with and on hand by telephone in the event of any problems (although we had no need for this).

If you’re looking for a beautiful, stylish cottage with plenty of room, in a truly rural setting but with amenities nearby, look no further.
