This rental exceeded all our expectations.
Each year for the past 10 my (mostly retired) college friends and I find someplace beautiful to vacation for a week. With all this experience renting vacation homes, this one in Victoria, BC stands out as the very best. Not only is the house beautifully situated in a quiet, residential area across from the shore, within a 5-minute walk from a small shopping area where anything you need can be found, but the house itself is immaculately kept and completely stocked with all the comforts of home. The owner also provided our group of 6 with a huge plate of cheeses and deli meats, fresh fruit, half½, juice, eggs, condiments of all kinds, hard cider, locally baked bread, cooking oils and more. We were quite blown away by her hospitality. She even took one of us to the pharmacy to get some much needed cold medicine. Each bedroom has a queen-sized, super-copmfortable, memory-foam bed, a couple have their own large-screen TVs as well. Throughout the house are comfortable couches, chairs and other places to sit and relax. The back yard is a beautiful, quiet place to sit, eat, talk, read. There is a deck off the main living room as well. Bravo to anyone who chooses this lodging. You simply won't do any better in Victoria.
Second stay at this lovely home!
We stayed here last summer with our family of 5 and had the most wonderful time. My family wanted to come back again this summer since they loved the house and Victoria. Tashi and Mickey are great hosts. They left us a wonderful meal even a vegan dish for our daughter. It was so nice to get to the house and relax after a long trip. The house is in a great location. The views are incredible. There are restaurants and a grocery store nearby. The neighborhood is so walkable. Tashi gave us some great walk and hike recommendations. The house is so comfortable. We had more than even room for all of us. We hope to get back again someday.
Very comfortable and spacious. Great area and so close to town. I highly recommend anyone to stay here. Tashi is so lovely and made our trip one we would return to. Thank you so much for your hospitality! Aloha, Stacia.
Lovely home to stay in while visiting Victoria. Totally recommend for couples or large family. Beautiful views, cozy and inviting. Loved our stay.
Great house. Great owners.
Fantastic house/ location/ experience
The property is outstanding! I met with the owner on the first day, and he gave me a tour of the place. What a lovely house. We did not want for anything. Eight of us stayed here, and we were very comfortable. Two bedrooms on the lower level, with a small kitchen and full bathroom. One bedroom on the main level with a half bathroom, and two bedrooms on the upper level, each with their own bathroom. The kitchen area Served our purpose as well, there were plenty of dishes, cutlery, as well as a gas oven and stove, and two dishwashers and a Full-size refrigerator. There were two separate sitting areas, although to be honest, we spent most of our time in the front sitting room, with the fantastic view. Even on a cold wet morning, we sat in this beautiful room, drinking our coffee, and warming our feet at the gas fireplace. Bliss! There are two back gardens, with seating area, that would be perfect on a lovely sunny day. The house also had plenty of books, And local resource material.
The location Is superb, you’re looking onto the water, and it’s an easy drive into town. You would definitely want to have a car, Although it’s certainly walkable, you are 2.5 km to Mile Zero at the foot of Beacon Hill Park, along the waterfront.
I would recommend this property to any group looking for a comfortable, well appointed spot near the ocean. It would also be great for storm watching!
