Within 200m walking distance of the local family run restaurant, Santa Terra, the villa is also a truly quiet retreat from both daily working life and from the more hectic tourist towns and yet is within easy travelling distance of all that Istria has to offer.

The nearest town is Buzet, the 'City of Truffles', and the villa is also close to the famous Toklarija restaurant, a tiny place carved out of an old olive mill in the wine-growing hamlet of Sovinjsko Polje
On a historical note, Sovinjak is reputed to be the place that provided the wife of the Emperor Augustus with her preferred wine and the village is also the place of the world's first ever bauxite mine! (No longer active!)
