Charming fully equipped apartment with terrace, located in the quiet residential Faro Sardina (Gáldar) in the north west of the island of Gran Canaria at 35 km from the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and at only 50 metres from the coast, with naturals swimming pools around and very near of the beach of Sardina of Gáldar, one of the most popular diving sites for divers, where you can eat good fresh fish of the day in any of the existing restaurants.

The area is ideal for sunbathing, fishing, walking, reading, and features a spectacular panoramic sights as far as the neighbour island of Tenerife and the majestic Mount Teide.

In Gáldar there is one of the most representative archaeological sites in the Canary Islands, the Cueva Pintada, which exhibits a rich display of art made by ancient indigenous.

We can also organize the rental of bicycles. And if you want to go diving, we can arrange sessions with the local diving club at Sardina del Norte.

Warm Weather Guaranteed

Enjoyed the rugged coastline, with the amazing ocean path around the village. The hospitality provided was excellent, with everything we needed, except wifi. A car is essential and if you are resistant to any refurbishment work going on nearby best check beforehand. Overall, a very enjoyable holiday - the weather warm and windy, with no rain over our sixteen day stay.

Lovely Apartment and Hosts. Shame about the Builders Noise!

This is a lovely, well equipped and comfortable apartment. We would have had a fabulous holiday if not for the horrendous noise from builders working in the complex. There is some sort of concrete renovation works ongoing in the complex, using drills and diesel engine equipment. This was parked right outside our bedroom window, we were woken up about 8am every weekday morning with the noise ongoing throughout the day!

I would be happy to return when the building works are complete. The weekends were gloriously peaceful! A car is essential for this property as it really is "off the beaten track".

The hosts are lovely, we arrived to a friendly welcome, fairly late at night to find a full table of food drinks and snacks. This was much appreciated after a long day travelling!

Overall score for the Apartment and Hosts would be 5stars... Builders 1star... hence the 3star review.

Fantastic apartment

This was a beautiful apartment, very well equipped and set in a stunning location. It was clean and had a great welcome pack, Marisa was incredibly helpful and her son was in contact with us from the moment we landed, meeting us in the car park. We brought our own bikes to explore the area and found the locals welcoming and courteous. I recommend this area if you want to get away for a highly stressfree holiday.

Lovely quiet place by the ocean

Lovely place in a little village very close to natural beaches, far away from touristic zones, a place to enjoy the sunsets, chill out evenings with relaxing sound of ocean waves. Comfortable appartment, well equipped with lots of lovely detailes, it has everything inside, we felt as being at home with nothing missing. We were pleasantly surprised with hospitality of Marisa and her son. We arrived on 31st of December very late after long flights and were pleasantly surprised with hospitality of Marisa, we had all ready for the New Year celebrations, a bottle of local wine, sweets and candles, she did everything for us to make our stay pleasant from the first day.

Wonderful place to come back. This sure we will try and stay there again if we come back to Canary Island. Thanks for a great stay.

We stayed 11 days, and we really enjoyed every single minute! The apartment is very clean, cosy and very well equipped. The owner is very friendly, upon our arrival she gave us gifts - she doesn't have to do this, because the apartment itself is allready a generous gift. Cheap price for perfect value! I recommend this apartment to everyone, you just need a car, and that's it. ENJOY...

Close to the sea and far from the tourist centers

We stayed 4 weeks, and enjoyed every day. The apartment is clean and cosy and very well equipped. The hospitality of the owner is convincing - we really felt as guests in a private home, as welcome guests.

We had an exiting holiday with much sightseeing, walking, driving (we rented a car), and the island is really beautiful, the nature is fantastic.

We love the rough cliffs, the surf when the Atlantic is coming in, the quiet at night, with the sound of the waves only... And: maybe you are told that the north is rainy - not here! Well, a shower may come and go but most days are dry.

You will need a car, but then you should give it a try!
