My daughter and I spent 11 days in this comfortable apartment, perfectly situated in the center of Paris! We walked over 60 miles, exploring Saint Louis, the I'Ile de la Cité, Montmartre, Le Marais, Saint-Germain-des-Pres.
The apartment was a wonderful refuge after our daily wanderings, quiet, and so convenient with the small epicerie (and very helpful staff) just below us and the jolly keeper of the crèmerie and the kind man at the boulangerie across Rue Saint Louis, enabling us to have lovely simple breakfasts and dinners of selections of marvelous cheeses, wine and fresh fruit and vegetables.
The apartment was just as advertised; having a simple elegance; it was clean and well-maintained with extremely comfortable beds; the most unusual bathtub fixture we'd ever seen, and a functional simply laid-out kitchen.
Maria was lovely to deal with and Carlos, once we connected, thoroughly explained everything in the apartment and their expectations of us as temporary residents.
We attended Le Rêve de Salomon (Medieval music) at the tiny Théâtre de l'Île Saint-Louis Paul Rey, a tiny, tiny theater with concerts and plays six days a week and only two blocks away. A hidden gem! Another highlight - Berthillion's Agenaise -Armanac-soaked prune ice cream!
While we missed the Aligre Market, the Bastille Market did not disappoint!
I have given this apartment a five star rating...but do need to note that, while the kitchen is more than adequate for a short term stay, and the bathroom is equally acceptable - both seem a bit tired. Am I recommending that they be addressed and changed? No.....they are perfectly adequate. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The location is perfect. The apartment's size is perfect for two. I wouldn't have wished to have been in any other location!!!
Would I recommend this apartment to friends and relatives? Absolutely!
The two apartments are next door to each other. We stayed in each for part of our month and recommend both. The location is fabulous and feels very safe. The grocery downstairs is a real bonus. Both Maria (who arranges things from her office in Canada) and Carlos (who met us to let us in and answered questions) were very helpful and flexible. You go up 1 floor on an easy, clean stairway -- you can also take the elevator but we didn't bother except when dealing with the luggage.
The studio has windows opening onto the street bringing in the flavor of the neighborhood when open. When the windows are closed they shut out the street noise very well. You can still hear the grocery downstairs roll up their door around 8am and close it around 10pm, but it wasn't loud enough to wake us up. The other noise is the occasional unobtrusive low rumble of the elevator. The windows face north so the room stays relatively cool during the day, especially if you close the heavy curtains before you leave (we saw a fan but no air conditioner). It is more eclectic in decor and smaller than the 1-bedroom but still very functional. The studio includes a tub with shower attachment, an odd but functional spray-containing shower screen and a bidet. Note that at this point there is no safety grab bar in the tub area so you need to be very careful when you take a shower. The kitchen is well-equipped and fully functional but we just microwaved things and didn't bother to really cook because there were so many good places to eat. Staying here made for a wonderful month in Paris.
I had rented Maria's one bedroom in the same building last year. This year I rented the Studio and I must say that this one was even better! A nice street view from two very large windows, very efficient kitchen, comfortable beds and of course, the perfect location on the Ile St. louis. A great Easter week get-away with fabulous weather too. Thank you, maria and Carlos!

We're a family of 4 and stayed in this great studio apartment for 6 nights. We really enjoyed our stay and were very happy with our choice of accommodations. We loved the huge windows overlooking the street below and the high beamed ceiling. The windows are brand new and we could hardly hear the street noise below. The location is fantastic - a short walk to metro and RER stations, restaurants, and Notre Dame. We especially loved having a grocery store right below us (which we never heard noise from), and a bakery right across the street, where we'd get our morning coffee and pastry every day. It was also nice that we only had to carry our luggage one floor up, since there's no elevator in the building. We'd definitely stay here again.
We are a family of four with two younger children (under 10). We found this place to be very convenient to the Metro and RER stations which were able to get us all around Paris including Versailles and Disneyland. Notre Dame is a quick stroll away and the Louvre is a very quick ride on the Metro, or if you don't mind a walk with some window shopping on the way, it is close enough for that as well. The street has a small market and plenty of restaurants, pastry shops, and boutiques. The street can be very busy with pedestrians and at times noisy, but we were on vacation and didn't mind at all. Maria was very helpful and her agents were too. The transactions were easy and everything went smoothly. We will keep this place in mind for our next trip.
We stayed in the studio apartment in March of 2012. The location of the apartment is truly amazing. It couldn't have been a more ideal setting. The street it is on is lovely and has all of the amenities one could need. Its great to be able to walk to so many of the Parisian sights. Especially for first time visitors, it makes life so much easier.
The studio is basically one big room, with a bathroom and a kitchen. Both the bathroom and kitchen were plenty large and fully equipped. The room came with a bed and the fold out couch. Good enough to sleep the three of us.
Wonderful location. Pleasant little studio. Great and honest interactions with the owner and apartment manager!
Stay at the heart of Paris ! The apartment is on the very chic and posh Ile Saint-Louis, on the river Seine and next to Ile de la Cité and the Notre-Dame Basilica. Ile Saint-Louis is an up scale neighbourhood, the most prestigious in Paris, where you have beautiful shops and services, including bakery, butcher, food stores and restaurants. You can walk through the heart of the city, to all the museums, including Louvre and Centre Pompidou / Beaubourg. Walk on the right bank through the Marais, to place des Vosges, or through the Tuileries, to Place de la Concorde and les Champs Elysées, up to l'Arc de Triomphe. Or stroll on the Left bank through the Latin Quarter, Jardins du Luxembourg, Saint-Germain des Prés, Les Invalides and the Eifel Tower. If you get tired of walking, why not hop on a cruise or 'bateau-bus' (boat bus) on the river Seine and return back to the comfort of your island apartment. The nearest Metro is Pont-Marie, but several other stations are also nearby.
