Generally liked the unit. 30 min walk to Savannah attractions downtown. But a pretty walk. One block from Forsyth Park and the awesome DOT - free bus to all the attractions. Couple of small complaints. The unit could be a little cleaner. The outside door was filthy and needed power washing. Floors and baseboards needed a little love. Sofa in the den wasn’t very comfy. But overall a good place to stay for a long weekend.
Fernwood is in a lovely neighborhood of beautiful homes, plus so very close to the DOT free bus that takes you right downtown. We also walked there, if you like to walk it's only a mile. The cottage was very clean and we love the bonus of having a locked garage. And nice neighbors! We'd definitely stay again.
Awesome above garage cottage with private parking
The place was clean, comfortable beds and plenty of living space for a family of 4 to unwind and relax after a full day around town. We loved a private garage and being 2 blocks from Grocery and Forsynth Park’s trolleys and playgrounds. We had minor issue and hosts were very understanding and resolved it immediately. Thank you and we will definitely stay here again!
Clean, quiet, convenient Cottage in Historic District
The Carriage House was just as advertised....no surprises. The kitchen was adequately stocked. The nearby Kroger store served well as our pantry. The in-unit washer and dryer were a definite plus. The free DOT bus gave us easy access to downtown activities. We would stay again.
Christen and Gerome were excellent hosts. They were quick to respond to our needs but respected our privacy.
Nice place to stay, close to shopping and dinning places
We had a great time, loved the place !
We are in a wonderful area of mainly historical residential houses mixed with a few businesses. Located one block from the twenty-plus acre Forsyth Park with playgrounds, tennis and basketball courts, and many year round festivals including the start of Savannah's renowned St. Patrick's Day Parade.
The main house was built in the 1890s. Our quaint street is safe with light foot traffic and friendly neighbors. We have several tasty restaurants within a few blocks and a large grocery store right around the corner. A number of coffee shops, bakeries and a health food stores are all within 1-5 blocks too.
