Restaurants are plentiful and shopping is delightful. Weather is Fort Bragg is wonderful. Summers boast pleasant temperatures and winters are moderate.
My family (3 grandkids, son & daughter in law, my husband and myself) had a glorious vacation at this lovely ocean view home. To say it has an ocean view is an understatement as it right on the ocean. We spent hour after hour sitting on the deck around the fire pit and walking along the expansive coastline. It could not have been a better place for our crew. The kids ( 15- 20 years old) spent most of their time on the beach or riding bikes up and down the trail. The house is beautifully decorated with more than ample space so no one was bumping into each other. We cooked all our meals in the well appointed kitchen and enjoyed nights by the fire. I have been coming to this area all my life and this was by far my best experience.
As usual, we enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. We have stayed at the Seahorse Fin five times now and plan to return again!
This is the perfect location - ocean view, easy haul road trail access and easy beach access. Our 11 family members had plenty of room to spread out and the large yard was enjoyed by our dogs. We saw whales and dolphins this time (have stayed here 3 times), as well as the usual dear roaming the neighborhood. You are basically at the end of the haul road so you can ride or walk the whole length into Ft. Bragg (plenty of bikes available; all that we used were in good shape) or just walk about a mile to the McKerricher Park board walk to view sea lions. The house has shown a little wear over the years (don't we all) but this time we saw several new additions in the way of outdoor furniture which was WONDERFUL!! A few repairs were needed with the doors while we were there (10 days) but they were resolved quickly with their friendly handyman and his son.
It may seem a little pricy but it does handle a lot of people with ease and ... it's the best location! We hope to return again some day. Try it - you'll love it!
What a wonderful home! It was my mom 89th birthday, she LOVE it! It is on the beach, she can't walk very much and she did not have to! Beach is right there! The house is equiped with everything you can ever need! Kids and adults enjoyed every minute of it! Karyn, Thank you so much for making us feel so welcome! We will be back, for sure!!
The grand Pacific Ocean and miles of gorgeous beach are a stone's throw from this beautiful, well-kept home. It was a perfect place for our group's winter retreat. We loved the acoustics as we sang around the large dining table. The home is spacious and accommodated our group wonderfully. The owner was exceptionally kind, gracious, and a real pleasure to work with throughout. The members of our chorus can't wait to return next year.
Our family loves to come and stay at the Seahorse Fin for a few days of relaxation, eating, exploring tide pools, fantastic views, bike riding, and sitting around the fire pit on the deck. It's truly a haven. We have been going there for many years with our kids and grandkids, and hope to for many more to come.
