Outstanding outdoor features! A beautiful shaded oasis. Rare to find this much shade covering an entire large back yard. Also has a pleasant sounding 8 foot diameter water feature in addition to the spa.
Inside, furnished with a super luxurious King-size bed with pillow-top, Queen-size bed, two single beds, and a Queen-size sofa bed. Furniture, beds, bedding, sheets, pillows, and kitchen/dining-ware are very nice. Two santa fe style leather couches and a matching super padded leather chair and ottoman for relaxing. Beautiful santa fe style southwest dining table. 30 inch wide-screen TV and DVD/VCR. Flat-screen TV also in master bedroom.
High speed broadband wireless internet access. Cable TV with 50+ channels. Luxurious dinner plates and utensils for entertaining. Fire bowl table outside is large enough that eight persons can eat/sit around it enjoying a warming fire burning in the center. Garage parking for two cars, plus driveway parking for two cars. Please, no parking on street at night.

Been coming to Scottsdale for business travel for years. Realized that the the desert sahuaro landscapes, resort like ambiance, and open space are extraordinary and unique among all locations we've ever visited in the U.S. and we just had to have a house here. We welcome our guests to share in our beautiful home.
Reservations purchased this house in 2005
We had physically toured and evaluated over 100 homes throughout Phoenix and Scottsdale before settling on this particular gem. We found that Grayhawk is the #1 community for the combination of premium community, safety (private security patrols, N. Scottsdale location away from congestion and foot traffic on the other side of the 101), open space & walking trails, world class golf courses (Raptor & Talon), convenience (close to the best restaurants & shopping in North Scottsdale), family environment & top Scottsdale schools. The yard is particularly unique as it is the only house among the 100 homes that had a fully shaded back yard with great tree cover over the whole yard. So nice and cooler in the summer! Has a built in large fountain which is a nice touch with the sound of water. An occasional owl and hawk visits our trees too and have seen them right there over head! A good sized house too, with 3/4 bedrooms (4th has a pullout queen sleeper sofa if needed, and we use it as a reading room).
Oh, so many unique benefits of this house in Grayhawk. We've mentioned many above. To emphasize, the central location to North Scottsdale activities is key, yet, away from the noise, car & foot traffic that is found around the restaurants and shopping areas. Yet, it is only a few minutes drive from those areas. Perfect. Also, when we want to pamper ourselves, the Scottsdale Princess Resort is only a couple minutes down Scottsdale Road, so close to us. The TPC course is at the Princess as well, so also a nice plus. Love it!
We were 5 minutes to the Mayo Clinic & Hospital and stayed at the property for one month with 2 people having surgeries and 9 people at the house which is laid out very well for the amount of people we had there. The area is very residential and quiet in a good neighborhood with a shopping center only 1 block away. The property was in need of some TLC, and had appliances replaced quickly as we called about them. The property also needed some cleaning which we did ourselves. The landscaping needs some TLC but is servicable and well laid out for people to relax outside. Overall, I have very high standards of cleanliness and once the house was cleaned by us, it was very servicable for the large gathering of people who we had staying there for the whole month. We were not people who went out so we were there for the entire month. I would recommend the property for anyone who wants a very comfortable, relaxing home-because that is what it is-a vacation home, with area rugs, pictures on the walls, it feels relaxing and comfortable, with a lovely back yard to spend your afternoons outside watching the hummingbirdsbuzz all over the trees.
The home is a well maintained, clean property as represented in the pictures. It is well equipped and furnished comfortably and clean.
This property served our purposes fine. It is a good-sized home with all of the amenities in a quiet neighborhood close to a commercial area and easy access to highways.
We found the house to be clean and space was adequate in each of three full bedrooms. The master suite was a great area for the only couple in the group. The yard is absolutely perfect with great light on the corner lot. The large trees gave just enough shade from the ever present AZ sun. The pool table was a plus for "the boys" to shoot the sh__ . We walked to the Grayhawk plaza for supplies and a meal at the burger joint, probably under 5 min. away. The kitchen has plenty of space and supplies enough hardware to cook anything.
The floor plan worked well for our family and the pool table was a nice bonus. It was nice too to be close to the stores for grocereys and quick meals.
However there were also disssapointments as well:
1. The spa was dirty and not useable.
2. The kitchen was not adequately supplied. There was no can opener and inadequate items to meet the needs of a larger group.
3. The pull out couch bed was extremely uncomfortable and needs to be replaced.
This is a nice home that needs TLC.
This was our first time using VRBO to book a vacation home, and the entire process was quite easy. The house itself was clean and spacious, although a bit outdated. However, that's not to say it wasn't comfortable. The neighbourhood was quiet and well maintained. A nice perk of the house location was the proximity to local amenities including shopping, restaurants and golfing.
