About Mark Pruhenski
We are owners who rented next door for many years, before deciding to purchase our own cottage when the opportunity arose, so we could enjoy it more frequently. There is something really special about this place that you will notice right away, as we did several years ago. We are available by cell phone before and during your stay in case you have any questions. We will provide you with an information sheet as well and you will find that we are easy to work with and we try to be very accommodating to our guests.
Why Mark Pruhenski chose Sudbury
As if the lake isn't enough, there are plenty of great attractions in the area, such as the Ben and Jerry's Factory, Shelburne Museum, the VT Teddy Bear Factory, Middlebury College, American Flatbread, Fort Ticonderoga and the Hubbardton Battlefield, and the Otter Creek Brewing Company, just to name a few.
What makes this Cottage unique
The lake view is amazing. I don't think you will find a home closer to the water than this one. You can hear the water lapping up against the shore stones at night. The cottage is set off of the main road, on a very private peninsula with only 6 other small cottages that are only used from time-to-time. You'll love the location and the vintage look and feel of the home. It's like stepping back in time......
Canceled bookings will not receive a refund
Clean, quiet, the owners put a lot of thought into their guests comfort. It felt like a home.
Beautifully furnished cottage on a small quiet lake
We absolutely loved our stay at this cottage and felt right at home. There were plenty of books and games for a rainy day. The porch offers a beautiful view of the lake and the kayaks were in good condition. The location was close to so many hiking spots with other small towns within a short drive for groceries and restaurants. The neighbors were super friendly and helpful. Everything we expected! Quick note, there isn’t air conditioning but there are plenty of fans. The upstairs gets really warm on hot days. Also the shower house is what you’d expect from a shower house. No surprises with that, but you should prepare yourself accordingly with flip flops and a shower bag to carry your stuff too. It’s right steps from the front door but it’s helpful to have a bag if you have a small child.
Peaceful, lakeside cottage!
This vintage cottage was adorable. The owners have put great thought into making their renters feel right at home. The cottage was tastefully decorated, clean and full of rustic charm. This quiet little community was full of beautiful sunsets. We plan on returning to this charming escape!
Thank you Mark & Melissa for sharing your lake house!

Lovely cottage. Everything that we though it would be.
Beautiful, relaxing, comfortable
We loved landing at Mark and Melissa's lake house after our wedding! With views of the water from every room, a spacious kitchen, deck, dock, grill, and fire pit, we were in Vermont heaven. Their home is beautifully designed and decorated with everything we needed. Mark was warm and responsive throughout the process of booking, arriving, staying, and departing. Our week was absolutely beautiful and restful. We hope to come back as soon as we can!
Adorable, peaceful, comfortable
This is a little slice of Heaven, directly on the clear lake. The owners take great care--the cottage is freshly painted, clean, and comfortably furnished. We came as a couple to read and relax, and plan to return with our 9-year-old daughter because the spot is perfect for a small family. The kitchen is thoughtfully appointed with every needed implement. Beds are comfy. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend if you're looking for a spot to unwind.
