Marvao Eco-Villa with private swimming pool and an amazing panoramic view

The location of the property is superb - it is a 25 minute walk (uphill) to Marvão, and a 10 minute drive to Castelo de Vide. Portagem, which is less than 5 minutes away, also has plenty of amenities.

The Eco Villa was spotlessly clean when we arrived. Irene's directions were excellent and we had no problem finding it. We had been concerned about the lack of aircon, especially as we were travelling with our four-year-old daughter. However, the interior was pleasantly cool the whole time, even though it was 35 degrees outside. We didn't feel we needed aircon.

The views are spectacular, especially when enjoyed from the pool. Even though the eco villa is close to the main property, it is completely private and felt very secluded and tranquil.

Irene is a great host. She was in regular contact with us both before we arrived and whilst we were staying. We were very well looked after.

We travel to the Marvão region often, and we are certain that we will return to Irene's property again soon.

Maison confortable, lieu idéal pour se reposer. Marvao est accessible à pied, avec un peu de marche, sinon à 10 mn en voiture. Le soir c'est agréable, ça mérite d'y faire un tour.

La propriétaire est joignable très facilement pour toutes demandes. Nous avons apprécié.

Le couché du soleil est magnifique, juste en face, c'est une merveille.

Maison fraîche malgré la chaleur. Très bien isolée, mur en paille.

Das Haus hat eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre, welche für die Erwachsenen sowie auch für die Kinder spürbar war. Der kleine, aber saubere und erfrischende Pool war stets für eine Abkühlung gut. Die Lage und der Ausblick vom Haus aus ist besonders schön. Der Aufenthalt war wunderbar und nur weiterzuempfehlen.

We spent a week in a lovely appartment in the main house with its big, sunshaded terrace overlooking the stunningly beautiful Vale de Rodao. Our hosts, who live on the premises, made us feel very welcome. The Quinta de Marvao is just minutes away by car from Marvao itself and ideally situated to explore the archaic villages and little towns in the area, and there are a number of hiking paths to discover on foot. However, we often could not tear ourselves away from the ever changing, amazing light in the valley playing on the rocks, the oaks and olive trees and just sat on the terrace watching birds, listening to nature's sounds over a bottle of Alentejo wine. We greatly enjoyed the stay and can highly recommend it.

Passei apenas uns dias na eco-village, e foi uma experiência única! A vista é surreal, a paz, o silêncio, é um local único. A simpatia e disponibilidade da Irene é indescritível. Só tive pena de não poder passar mais uns dias neste paraíso!
