The apartment is on the third floor, no elevator, of an old building in the center of Rome, in a quiet alley, a few steps from the main monuments: Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain.
In 20 minutes you can reach S. Peter and the Colosseum.
Thanks to the metro station of Piazza di Spagna, which is about 900 mt., You can get directly to the Termini station in a few minutes.
Nearby there are numerous restaurants, pizzerias, pubs, wine bars, ice cream, etc.
Inside is tastefully furnished and consists of a large living room with two couches, a large table for 6 people; in view there is the new kitchen and fully equipped. In the master bedroom there is a bed 160x190 cm.,
In the double room there are two single beds 80x190 and a third bed always 80x190. The two bathrooms have both a shower.
A Casa Andree is also the phone and WiFi for your business.
The main characteristic is its central location. At the same time it is very quiet and peaceful and has a pleasant terrace not very large but handy for a drink.
His flaw is the lack of lift so I recommend small and lightweight luggage.
This is a really nice apartment and the location cannot be beat. This was my 3rd time in Rome and by far the best location. Was travelling with 2 kids 11 and 14 and we walked everywhere. The rooms are spacious and larger than what I had expected considering everything in Europe is usually tiny. The bathrooms are small but this is also very typical in Europe. There is a washer and dryer which is a huge plus.
Monica was excellent about communication and answering my multiple emails. The apartment was clean and I was happy to find some coffee in the pantry.
About the stairs: We had expected this and there are definitely a lot of them but it was not an issue for us. Yes the kids at times complained but mostly in a joking way. I could see this an issue for younger kids or people who had mobility issues but for us the location made up for this inconvenience.
Somebody complained about towels but we had one bath towel and 2 smaller towels (so 3 total) per person which was fine for us and if you want you can do a wash in between.
All in all this was an excellent choice and for the price I paid I feel we couldn't have done better.
Our family of four were very comfortable in this apartment for four nights. Major attractions are in easy walking distance and groceries and gelato are close by. We enjoyed our morning coffee and evening wine on the sunny terrace. Even by European standards however the stairs are killer and the bathrooms small. I wouldn't recommend staying with very small children or bad knees! Otherwise I do recommend staying for the location, the cleanliness, and the washing machine. Best of all there was coffee and coffee filters in the kitchen.
Monica is an excellent hostess--very communicative and friendly, and she gave us a thorough tour of Casa Andree upon our arrival. We had just landed and were a little late, but she was waiting upstairs. She even let us check-in early (for a fee) so my family could nap after a sleepless all-night flight. The apartment was very clean and well laid-out. It is on the third floor, but we're all in relatively good shape and the stairs weren't really an issue for us. And other than some noisy birds in the morning, the place is very quiet and a nice retreat. It's in an alley off of an alley, so the entrance isn't very spectacular, but you are within about 2 blocks of all kinds of stuff do do/see/eat/drink, including the Pantheon, the Pantheon's legendary coffee shop and an awesome gelato place with 150 flavors. There is a terrace where you can sit outside amidst the rooftops which was very nice, too. My wife found the bed a bit uncomfortable and firm--there's no box spring, just a mattress on a platform, and despite the listing, it's a queen, not a king. So we never felt totally "rested" while we were there, but adrenaline of being in Rome kept us going. My teens thought their twin beds were comfortable enough. Both bathrooms and particularly the showers, as we've come to expect in Europe, are challengingly compact (drop the soap? it's staying there!), but we made it all work. There is a washer/dryer unit which came in handy, too. Wifi is reliable, as is the cable TV. We bought some groceries around the corner and ate breakfast in while we were there. I'd recommend Casa Andree to families who don't need a lot of space to "get away" from each other and want to try something different and more memorable than a typical hotel experience.
we recently stayed here with our 3 kids aged 11, 8 and 1.
First I will start with the positives:
Fantastic location, one minute away from the pantheon, and walking distance to all the major sites, great cafes, restaurants, little supermarket. You couldn't ask for a better location.
The owner Monica was very pleasant and very agreeable about meeting us at the apartment very late at night. Our flight arrived at midnight so we only got to the apartment at about 1 am. She didn't charge us more for late checkin.
Now for the lesser points:
I feel that it is important to point out that the apartment is in a building without an elevator. It is on the third floor, but these are very high and steep floors so if you are arriving with little luggage and are in good shaPE then it is no problem. However, if you are like us with 3 kids, lots of luggage, a baby AND a stroller then this apartment is unsuitable. It was a huge hassle getting up and down those stairs each time.
As another reviewer mentioned, we also had some issues with the boiler. It had to be reset 3 times in the 2 days when we were there. No biggie, but one time we didn't manage to fix it ourselves and had to wait for the owner to come and fix it. She responded very quickly and come over in less than an hour.
All in a all a good place, and great location just not for a family with lots of luggage.
I would say the location was great (Best location), and my recommendation on areas of improvement would be better linens, we were there for over 5 days and only got one towel a piece, the boiler had to be reset at least 3-4 times a day and we ended p having to o or and even by toilet paper as no common supplies were even given, also the dryer did not really work even though it came on it would not dry clothes we ended up having to hang dry everything.....and I would recommend in updating the couches in the apartment... and there are only 3 channels on the TV .... the highlight is the location easy access to everything and everything is within walking distance..
We were very very happy with this wonderful Home away from Home! We are a family of 5, and it was the perfect location to explore all the sights of Rome (All 3 children 5, 7, 9, walked to all of the attractions). Also a very safe area. The very clean apartment had lots of room and more and everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Loved having a washer and dryer. Lots of stairs to climb, but didn't bother us. The owner Monica was easy to get ahold of and worked around our arrival and departure easily, even offered us to stay an extra night if we needed. I would most definitely stay here again and highly recommend!!!! Thank you Monica for a great place!
