Ili Ili Beach House is a truly unique location right on Pebble Beach. The smooth pebbles (known as ili ili in Hawaiian) create a soothing sound as the waves roll in and out. From the lanai or the garden you can watch the sunset and possibly see whales breech or dolphins play. Walk 50' and go swimming or snorkeling. Take off on a hike to an ancient cindercone or black sand beaches. Kayak to lava caves. Scuba divers love to beach dive off this beach.
Pebble Beach is not easy to find in the guide books. It is off the beaten track and therefore almost private. You will be located right in the middle of your own beach!
You will need lots of will-power to leave this house in its magical setting, but if so inclined this is a great location for exploring the Big Island. Visit the Place of Refuge, snorkel in Kealakekua Bay, surf Ke'ei beach, drive 70 miles to the Volcanoes National Park or shop in Kailua only 25 miles away. So wake up, go for a swim and then hit the road.
High Speed Wireless access and Bluetooth sound system!! Bring your work and all your tunes and stay an extra week.

The place seduced us! We were staying with friends in the neighborhood and noticed that this house was on the market. We were not in the market for a rental, but we could not resist owning a house right on the beach.
We find this place very relaxing. It truly is hard to leave and we find ourselves only slowly getting out to explore the rest of the island.
Every time we come back it feels so good to slip into the comfort and magic of this place.
This was perfect for my family, the extras the home comes with are amazing, kayaking was fantastic and the snorkeling was some of the best on the island, we will rent this home again.
This property exceeded everything we wanted. The location, the house, and everything that the owners could possibly control or provide was well thought out.
We have stayed in many places and have always left a thought or two on ideas for improvements. Not this time!
Loved our 5 days at Ili Ili. Although it turned out to be a completely different experience than we had expected. Being right on the beach we were ready for snorkeling, boogie boarding, kayaking and fly fishing, instead we were treated to some of the highest surf in years. What a show was put on by the ocean during our stay.
The house was very comfortable, had a great sand backyard (which was a nice break from the surrounding lava) and all the toys you would ever want when the ocean cooperates. Love the location, close to Captain Cook, just far enough away from Kona and that much close to the Volcanoes.
Waiting for warm water to arrive to wash dishes was a bit of a drag particularly with the drought conditions but other than that we will be back someday.
The rental could not have been better! Of course the views and beach access were heavenly. We especially appreciated the fully stocked kitchen (made smoothies every morning), the loaner beach equipment available, and the pack-and-play the owners so kindly loaned us. We cannot wait to return!
Our family absolutely loved the house and location. It was everything we expected and so much more. The house was wonderfully maintained and provided the perfect backdrop for relaxing at an almost deserted location. The backyard, water toys and lanai were the highlights of our stay. I don't think the photographs are able to do justice for the views and experience, which involved dolphins and whales. The owners and manager were very friendly and we would love to stay again soon.
It's in Hawaii, it's on the beach, and it's remote. What more could you ask for? We traveled as a family of four with kids ages 15 and 11. We especially enjoyed fabulous snorkeling in the bay and kayaking up and down the coast. There were usually one or two other groups of people on the beach while we were there, but sometimes we had it all to ourselves. When we left the bay in the kayaks, we were all alone except for the sea turtles. Expect a little work getting the kayaks down to the beach and back up at night, but it's well worth it, and you get better at it quickly. Bring a good pair of beach shoes to keep the pebbles out. A vacation spot my family will always remember.
