Overview

About the property

Cabin, 3 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 1.5 Baths, (Sleeps 8)

Our year-round log home is situated approximately eight miles southeast of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. It is within walking distance of two beautiful public beaches and two lighthouses. The cabin is surrounded by six and a half acres of quiet solitude and abundant wildlife. Along with the furnished kitchen, we supply our renters with wood for the fireplace and outside firepit, paper products (toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, kleenex), coffee filters, dishwashing liquid, various cleaning products. We feel that the environment is perfect for your pets.

Because we are situated on six acres, the privacy we offer is just what you may need to unwind from your busy life. The stars on a clear night are awesome. The sound of the waves from Lake Michigan (two blocks away) is soothing. We provide our guests with a 'small' bottle of wine as a welcoming gift. Door County, for those not familiar with its long history of hospitality, will not be disappointed in the beautiful surroundings, wonderful restaurants, numerous parks, quaint villages and breathtaking sunrises or sunsets.

3rd year in row

I love this cabin. Beautifully decorated and very clean. Close to town and in a very quiet area. The owners are awesome and are there for your every need, but they really think of everything already. A great place for a few days or the whole week.

Beautiful and quiet

  • 4 of 5

It was very quiet and the cabin fit our needs very well. Enough room for all and we enjoyed the fireplace. Our one concern was some of the décor was not helpful for some of our people with allergies. The cabin was close to town but far enough out to feel like we were by ourselves in the world. Lots of knitting got done. Enjoyed Door County in the winter!

A Great Get-Away

My family enjoyed evenings by the fire in this warm and cozy cabin. It is in a wonderful setting, was just the right size for us, and the price can't be beat. .

Wonderful and Peaceful Retreat

  • 5 of 5

We love the Sunrise Shores Log Cabin. We have stayed there for the last four years for up to a month at a time. Our favorite part of the cabin is its setting. There are very few houses on the small loop road and some days only a few cars go by. It is perfect for long walks and bike rides. Our dog also loves being there. She enjoys all the wonderful sniffs in the surrounding woods. It is peacefulness personified. It really is a way to get away from all the distractions and noise of our daily lives. During our summer stays we spent long hours sitting on the porch, watching, the birds. In the fall we loved sitting in front of a cozy fire with a good book (lots of great books there). We felt we were just the right distance from Stirgeon Bay and the rest of Door County. It was our perfect getaway and we can't wait to go back.

It was ok

  • 2 of 5

The cabin was cute and cozy but there surely wasn't a beach close by- all the beaches we went to were private. Huge let down. The cabin wasn't as clean as I would like. It did have nearly everything you would want or need for a week of vacation. Too far from town and stores. Fireplace was great, and lots of firewood to keep us warm and make puggie pies and s'mores on chilly evenings. Sorry we won't return. WiFi would be great and no cell service wasn't good for a person that needs it.
