Why Nathalie Ostermann chose Colmar

I have created my Holiday rentals in 2011. My Alsatian house is located in my favorite place of Colmar : the so romantic and magical Little Venice district.

I have chosen to renovate these house keeping the Alsatian style and spirit : my apartments are decorated with Alsatian colors, old furniture, antiques, original paintings of Alsatian artists....

What makes this apartment unique

Perfect location in the old city, close to all shops, monuments, restaurants, Christmas markets. Close to the railway station (10-15 minutes walk). Beautiful Alsatian decoration (antiques, Alsatian furniture by artist JC Pioget, paintings by David Grandmaire).

Perfect location and unit in Petite Venice

We just returned from a four night stay at this beautiful unit in Colmar. We stayed in the second-floor unit right next to the canal in the old town district of Colmar. The unit, location, and cleanliness we're just as pictured on the VRBO site. Nathalie was very good about meeting us after 6 PM and was always just a phone call away whenever we had any questions. Having access to the washing machine after a long trip was also very helpful. Her unit was very clean, large and well-equipped. As expected, this unit within a very busy area during the touristy day but was quite quiet and nice in the evening when all the tourist have gone home. Also very nice, was the fact that there is a farmers market less than a block from the unit. A great place to pick up produce, cheese, bakery, etc. Thank you again Nathalie for all of your help, we would not even consider staying anywhere else the next time we are in the Colmar area. It was a great springboard for viewing the Alsace wine region.

Great apartment in the heart of Little Venice

We stayed in the second-floor apartment for 2 weeks. Perfect location - right in the middle of Little Venice. The apartment was well equipped. We’ve found everything we needed. All necessary shops close by. Elevator very useful for heavy luggage. Fast WiFi. Colmar is great location to drive around and visit beautiful little towns of Alsace or bigger Basel and Strasbourg. When you are with kids you can go to close by Europa Park or Le Parc du Petit Prince.

Very nice contact with the owner – Nathalie was always very helpful, always quick response to any questions. Everything as promised. We would highly recommend the apartment.

Apartment N°2 'La Chambre du Batelier'

I will start with the positives. The location is very good. The apartment had adequate space and was clean, orderly and in good condition. Care was taken with the decor. The elevator was helpful for getting luggage up and down. The owner greeted us on time and assisted bringing our luggage from the car.

On the downside, we did not have the option of the garage as we expected, although you would need to have a very small car and be an excellent parker to use the available garage. We were a bit surprised when we were told we would be charged extra for sheets if we used the fold out lounge, as we had booked and paid for an apartment that slept 4. There were two of us. No discount for that. No other apartment owners had done this.

Also when I pointed out that the wardrobe door in the bedroom was broken, the owner said, "Well don't use it". No discount for that, but addition for sheets.

It was very hot during our stay and the tiny fan was ineffective, but at least the windows could be left open at night, and the noise from the restaurant below wasn't too bad.

The washing machine worked but had no dryer. We had to hang our washing around the apartment to dry.

Overall, I would describe the apartment as adequate.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your comment. I hope that in spite of these little inconveniences you have enjoyed your stay in our wonderful region. France was unfortunately facing an usual heat wave when you came, everybody was suffering from the high temperatures. Yes, the restaurant close to the apartment is very quiet : it's the famous gastronomic restaurant belonging to the great star chef Jean-Yves Schillinger. The previous guests had broken the lock of the wardrobe door (I didn't see it before you arrive) but of course you could still use it, it was just impossible to lock it. And there are 3 more wardrobes in the apartment that could be locked. There is a drying rack fixed on the wall in the bathroom, but no drying machine. The price offer was made for 2 persons, not 4. There is only one garage for 3 apartments. You made the choice not to book it when you have booked your apartment and another guest booked it.

Great apartment!

We stayed at Nathalie's house on Landeck Street. We stayed during the Christmas markets. We had a wonderful stay! We had two different apartments and both were extremely clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. The location to explore Colmar is perfect and many fabulous restaurants are within a few blocks from the house. I would highly recommend renting from Nathalie.

A good home!

We lived in August three families in this cozy home. Very convenient location - in the heart of the old Colmar. On foot you can reach any interesting place. Bakeries, markets and shops nearby. Two doors is a regional restaurant with a Michelin star. We were there - delicious and inexpensive.

All apartments are very comfortable. Everything at your fingertips and all you need is there. There is only one point - there is no dishwasher. From the previous tenants remains a lot of useful products, such as tea, coffee, sugar, etc. So if you come late in the evening - no need to run to the store. All you see in the photo room is the truth. We spent in this house a very pleasant week, and if possible, we will stay here again.

The rooms have a lot of information about where to go - as in the tourist office.

Chambre du Batelier, Aux 2 Cigognes, Colmar

My husband and I were totally delighted with this lovely apartment. It is located on the second floor of a very nice Alsacian house located on Rue de la Poissonnerie, which we think is the best location in Colmar. The Chambre du Batelier is located on the second floor (with elevator), is spacious, decorated with taste and very clean. We spent one week and enjoyed taking many photographs. Colmar is welcoming and one of the prettiest cities we have visited. We would certainly return to this location in a heartbeat. Thank you Nathalie for being so understanding of our needs and Ludovic for being so prompt the morning of our departure.
