Perfect pied-a-terre

  • 5 of 5

We spent a week in this cosy loft apartment and wanted to stay longer in the end but it was booked.

Close to supermarkets and a short walk to the centre of town, it had the perfect position and everything we needed.

The owner, Marco, could not have been more accommodating and helpful.

We will definitely be back next time!!

Thank you Marco!!

This Cremona apartment is wonderful! Exceptionally clean and well organized with plenty of towels and sheets and cooking implements. Walking distance to a couple wonderful shops (meat, cheese, wine) and a great vegetable/fruit stand. Walking distance to the center of Cremona and very close to the convenient bus stop.

Marco is an excellent landlord - he picked us up at the train station and drove us there at the end of our stay and even provided bicycles for us! We asked if Marco had an iron and within hours he had gone out and bought one for the apartment!

I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Highly recommended

Marco, the owner, thought of everything when he converted, furnished, and provisioned this wonderful little loft apartment. My husband and I, along with our 10-month-old, stayed here for two nights. We'd come to relax and see Cremona and its violins, and this apartment played a big part in making the trip so pleasant. Marco picked us up (and dropped us off) at the train station. When we arrived at the apartment, we found that he'd bought us some food and ground coffee to last us the first few days and left us a few bus tickets and visitors guides and maps (we added to the collection of both when we left). For at-home amusement, there were several dozen books, and a TV and DVD player, along with several decent DVDs. We cooked breakfast and dinner at home using the stove and oven, and found everything that we needed -- knives, cutting boards, mugs, macchinetta, cutlery, pots/pans, napkins, and plates and bowls. There were also plenty of linens and towels. We found it so much better supplied than many of the other "fully equipped" apartments we've rented in Italy. It was cold during our visit -- the heating works well. And, needless to say, the place is immaculate. About 4 blocks from the apartment, there was a fruit/veggie store, a salumeria, and another food shop, from which we were able to get the basics. The bus stop is just around the corner from these shops. We highly recommend the place for a short stay, and imagine that a long stay wouldn't be so difficult, either.

Very clean and convenient studio apartment

  • 5 of 5

We would definitely recommend this apartment for visitors to the lovely city of Cremona. It is about a 4 block walk to the bus stop in a quiet residential area. Very clean and well maintained. The owners were very helpful and very kind. The loft bed was comfortable. The couch is ok for a younger person. Kitchen was fully equipped with essentials.

Car: not necessary

the apartment is located in Cremona, a city rich in history and culture, a city of music and violins.

walking through the historic center of Cremona you can see dozens of craft shops of violin makers who create their works in front of tourists.

The "violin museum" has recently been opened, where in a vast exhibition of real works of art you can admire the creations of master violin makers such as Antonio stradivari. Annexed to

The Violin Museum has created an auditorium with exceptional acoustics where world-class artists perform in extraordinary performances using sometimes violins built by the same stradivari.

Every street in the center oozes history with the numerous testimonies of medieval Cremona. Piazza duomo is a jewel in which stands out the "Torrazzo", which is the bell tower of the city cathedral which with its 112 meters of height is the tallest brick tower in Europe.

Cremona can also be the starting point to visit other cities that are only a few kilometers away, such as Mantua, Milan and Parma or to take a trip to Lake Garda.
