We discovered the high desert to get away from the stress of the large city. We fell in love with this area because of the silence, the pure air, the mystical open spaces, the trasparent light, the spectacular sunrises & sunsets and the canopy of stars. A true communion with nature.
Excellent place to unwind, to watch the star filled nights, commune with nature and charge your batteries. Lots of gentle trails for hiking and exploring. Gorgeous Joshua Tree National Park nearby. Lots of Art Galleries and famous Pappy & Harriet Palace only 5 min. away. Home of the world famous sound baths at the Integratron.
My visit @La Casita has been amazing! My mother passed away Oct. 28, 2016. I have 4 daughters and work full time. My mother's passing has hit me hard but yet I have had no time for myself to actually grief. My long time friend actually listened to me as I was venting about life & 2 days later she said "we're leaving Friday Nov.11 so pack your bag."
Anyway, when we were in the car, I realized how good she listened when I said "all I want is to get away to somewhere quiet so I can relax."
As we drove into the driveway, I was in complete shock on how beautiful this house was. Once meeting Cecilia and her kindness,
I fell in love.
Cecilia has such great taste & so much attention to detail. I have no words on how I feel. Its been wonderful being here, and I am here with the most amazing friend. When someone has lost someone you realize who your friends are!! Tannia and I have decided to come here once a year!!
Thank you for having us, see you next year,
Always Susi & Tannia

We loved our stay at the Casita, which is within walking of the wedding venue at Rimrock Ranch. It was wonderful to have the proximity while also being able to enjoy the privacy and abounding beauty of its location. I will definitely come back again when I'm not the wedding planner and Mommy of Honor -- but a guest who can enjoy a soulful and invigorating retreat. Thank you, Cecilia!

Had a lovely long weekend at the Casita - the right blend of remote but not isolated. The property is charming and the desert is serene and relaxing. We had a weekend of meteor showers (one of the reasons we came). Wildlife (quails, jackrabbits) abound. The nearby Joshua Tree National Park is magnificent. Good place to refresh and renew. We enjoyed our stay!
The casita was ultra clean and comfortable. Perfectly set in the middle of the sierras and dessert scape. I found myself not wanting to leave the property because it was so comfortable and quiet. Cecilia did a beautiful job of decorating the interior and paying attention to detail. A wonderful experience.
This cabin far exceeded our expectations, set in a great location off the beaten track. Easy distance to Palm Springs and Joshua Tree NP for daytrips and a comfortable place to spend the night.
We were super pleasantly surprised by this little cabin! Very cool architecture, design & decor. The place was clean, well cared for, and had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend.
Rancho Mojave is a wonderful high desert destination escape.
Leave your normal daily routine behind and enjoy the beauty of this charming casitas.
It will rejuvenate your soul while imprinting the images of the desert in your memories.
We are surrounded by mountains with gentle trails to hike.
