About Tracy Dickerson
Hi, I'm married and we've got a lovely six year old daughter called Mia and a very cute border terrier called Tilly. We love to travel around the UK and the world, showing Mia all the wonderful places we visited before she was born. We both run our own businesses (communications and plumbing) so we've got a great work life balance. This means we get to spend lots of time at our cottage in West Dorset enjoying the local beaches with Mia and the dog. Thailand is our all time favorite overseas destination, we've yet to take Mia! We are all fully house trained and we treat other peoples homes with as much care and pride as we do our own.

Delightful stay in sunny Dorset
From booking through to departure everything went smoothly. Tracy provided all the information we needed to enjoy a fabulous stay in her beautiful cottage. The cottage is impeccably decorated and has everything you need. We were lucky enough to have fantastic weather but this cottage would provide a lovely base to explore Dorset any time of the year.
Everything of a very high standard.
Exceptionally clean, warm and cosy cottage close to the heart of the village. Attractively decorated and furnished - every detail has been thought out carefully. The owner is very helpful in answering enquiries. We would certainly stay here again.
Thank you Jill and Steve, so glad you enjoyed your holiday and receiving lovely feedback like this is the icing on the cake! We'd love to welcome you both back again anytime. Take care,Tracy
Our best rental in Dorset
We stayed for a week whilst visiting family nearby. Martock cottage is incredibly comfortable and well equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the living room was very cosy on cold Autumnal evenings.
I would highly recommend it .
Thank you for your lovely review Anne, it was a pleasure having you both (and of course your lovely pooch Gromit) to stay with at Martock Cottage. So pleased you were comfortable, found everything you needed and enjoyed the log burner. If ever you're visiting family in the area again we'd love to host you all again. Take care, Tracy
Perfect little cottage with easy walking distance to restaurants and good pubs and shops.
All the cottage contained good quality fittings and a lovely comfortable double bed.The second bedroom quite small. Our only wish would have been a en suite WC and hand basin in the big bedroom.
Glad you enjoyed your stay Jill, you and Richard are very welcome to come back anytime! Take care. Tracy, Barry and Mia x
Super Family Friendly Cottage
We had a super first family holiday at Martock Cottage, and I can't recommend this holiday haven enough.
This is a wonderfully cosy, and well thought out rental. The kitchen / dining area is a great family space with everything we needed to cook a yummy Sunday roast dinner. The living room is cosy, and whilst we didn't need to light the wood burner, I'm sure it will add to the warm atmosphere in the winter months. The bathroom is large and spacious with a wonderfully powerful shower. The bedrooms were so comfortable, with a large bed in the master bedroom and twins in the smaller room. The courtyard garden is a lovely outdoor space, and our daughter thought the nearby pigs, sheep and chickens were wonderful.
All of the fixtures and furnishings are of a very high quality and there are lovely personal touches, which made our stay extra comfortable.
There is parking outside, and we didn't encounter any issue with finding a space (for our rather large car) at any time.
Location wise, we found Martock Cottage to be in an ideal place. 10/15 minute walk into Beaminster, and about a 15/20 minute drive to Bridport / West Bay. Abbotsbury is a little further away, but the Swannery, Children's Farm, and Tropical Gardens are really worth a visit.
We can't wait to return!
Thank you for the lovely review Lisa. It was a pleasure to have you and your family. I’m so glad you enjoyed the house and the local eateries. Hopefully we can welcome you back again. Tracy
5 Star Cottage
Martock Cottage in Beaminster is a stunner. Beautifully finished, spotlessly clean, well equipped and situated only a short distance to the Jurassic Coast you could not ask for better. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance and a convenience store 50 yards up the road this truly was a home from home.
I’m so pleased you enjoyed Martock Cottage Rod, you’ve been an absolute pleasure. Thank you and your wife for visiting and we look forward to welcoming you both back again!
