The Annexe at Compton Farmhouse is a three bedroom self contained holiday cottage which sleeps 5/6 people. It is situated in the picturesque village of Broad Hinton, Wiltshire. The cottage is attached to the main farmhouse inhabited by the owners. Compton Farmhouse is part of a former working farm with the original chalk stone farmhouse dating back to at least the 1770s. Broad Hinton has two gastro pubs, a village tack shop, a beautiful historic church and its well known white horse carved into the hillside. The accommodation has two floors and a private entrance. The ground floor comprises a charming sitting room and a dining room which features a historic inglenook fireplace with woodburner. There is a small kitchen. Steep stairs lead up to the bathroom and a large airy bedroom with kingsize bed. There are two additional bedrooms along a narrow corridor (one with kingsize bed and one with a single bed which can extend to a double). There is a shared garden to the front.
The rolling Wiltshire countryside around Broad Hinton is a designated area of outstanding natural beauty yet only a short drive from junctions 15 and 16 of the M4. We are a ten minute drive from the world heritage stone circle at Avebury, the lively market towns of Marlborough and Royal Wootton Bassett and the commercial centre of Swindon. Just a little further afield are Devizes, the historic sites of Bath, Salisbury, Stonehenge, Oxford and the Cotswolds.
We look forward to welcoming you.
