The Hideaway is a pretty, quiet, relaxing, cosy retreat for up to 4 people, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the Cotswold Way. At 700 ft up it has incredible far-reaching views across to the Welsh Hills. Bath is a short drive & the Park & Ride is 3 minutes away. There are many lovely walks in the immediate area. There's a balcony to the front & garden to the side, a fully-equipped kitchen, wood-burner & everything you could need for a getaway for a few days. Easy access from the M4.
The Hideaway was once a workshop where horse rugs were made until about 10 years ago. Since then, it has been fully insulated, clad in larch shiplap and roofed with cedar shingles and made into a lovely home with all the modern home comforts and fully-equipped for your holiday comforts and conveniences.
The entrance is through a porch for keeping the drafts out and leaving boots behind. This gives on to a large living room with sofas and dining table clustered around a Jotul wood burning stove. Facing you, the windows look out towards the trees and a view of the Welsh hills and a french window opens out on to the balcony - lovely for morning coffee.
Behind you is the spacious and fully equipped kitchen with fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. For cooking, there is an induction hob and an electric oven together with a toaster and kettle. All the usual pots and pans and utensils are found in a large kitchen dresser as well as cutlery and crockery to suit every occaision.
There are two spacious bedrooms separated from the living room by oak plank doors. The main bedroom has a comfortable king-sized bed, a chest of drawers and 'gentleman's' wardrobe. The second bedroom next door has a lovely, comfy double bed, a chest of drawers, a small wardrobe and chair.
The bathroom has a toilet, walk-in shower and washbasin.
The house has oil-fired central heating and a wood burning stove and wood is stored in a handy bin outside the front door. The house has its own wifi internet connection.
