Our newly built (2018) luxury cabin is located 40 meters from the lake shore and is surrounded by meadows and forests. The cabin measures 105 m2 including a covered terrace and it is fully equipped with everything you need. The cabin has its own fiber optic Wi-Fi and is eco-friendly heated by floor heating by a heat pump.
The cabin has a spacious open kitchen and living area offering panoramic views of the lake, with large glass doors. The cabin has the convenience of two separate bathrooms, one with a shower, one half with toilet and sink. After a hike around the lake, you can relax in the sauna. The three bedrooms have handcrafted woodwork and vaulted ceilings.
The cabin has a spacious sauna for 6 people and there is a smoke box where you can smoke freshly caught fish. In addition, the cabin on the waterfront has its own beach and fireplace / BBQ. The use of a rowboat is also included when you come to stay at the cabin.
There is much to see and do around the lake and surrounding forests. In each of the four seasons, fun activities for all ages abound!
In summer, the woods are yours to explore. There are many trails in the surrounding hills and valleys for hiking and mountain biking. One of your hikes could lead to the wind hut, where you can take a break and sit around a wood fire. After your hike, take a refreshing swim in the crystal clear lake or grab the rowing boat for a relaxing trip across the lake. Do not forget to catch some fish for dinner. Roast sausages or your freshly caught fish in the fire while the sun sets behind the hills. Gaze at the stars from the terrace before bedtime. On clear nights, the complete milky way unfolds before your eyes.
In autumn the leaves change, adding spectacular yellows and reds to the wooded scenery. Hiking and boating offer picturesque views of the seasonal transition. Many different varieties of berries are around the cabins. The fall hunting season also starts in the first week of September. Guided expeditions tracking moose, deer and her can be arranged in advance. Celebrate your day's adventures with a warm glass or Glögg around the fire!
In winter and early spring, we are blanketed by white powdery snow. Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in the quiet forests offer the possibility of encountering a foraging deer or moose. On the lake, you might try ice fishing. It is an experience that every fisherman must have had once! And when you sit at the campfire together, all of a sudden the Aurora Borealis could appear in the night sky above you.
When you have a car, the entire region of Jämtland is yours to discover.
Whether you decide to hit the road for a full day trip or a quick visit nearby, we can provide you with great recommendations for food, fun and adventure. There is nature everywhere! So depending on the season, there are great locations for hiking, swimming, boating, biking, cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, ice-skating, sledding, and snow-shoeing. Östersund is home to a World Cup cross-country skiing circuit! And in Gälloö it is now possible to go cross-country skiing all year round in an old tunnel! You might also like some of the local pastimes, such as motor sports. In our neighboring town of Rissna, go-cart racing, silly-car team driving, and ice-driving can be arranged in advance for parties or six or more. A little farther down the road, you might try cycling or, in winter, snowmobiling and snow-motorcycling at OffroadSweden.
Let us know what you like and we will try our best to send you in the right direction!
