Seabrook Island Villa Rental Photos and Description

Villa, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2.5 Baths, (Sleeps 4-6)

Edged by uncrowded beaches and pristine dunes along the South Carolina coast, Seabrook is a very private island in the heart of the low-country. Seabrook Island is a private 2200 acre resort community located just 21 miles from historic Charleston. With over three miles of

pristine beach, breathtaking marsh vistas and a

lush maritime forest, the emphasis at Seabrook is a beautiful natural setting, perfect for a family, golf or tennis vacation; also great for a reunion or wedding.

Rental of this unit will allow access to two scenic and very well-kept championship golf courses, a nationally ranked tennis center horseback riding, a fitness center, swimming pools, and many other world-class amenities.

Seabrook Island Club has opened all new beach facilities where you can enjoy the beach-side fun family pool, or the olympic size adult pool. Lounge in a chair on the sand or hard surface and enjoy the beauty--whichever you prefer. The newly renovated outdoor restaurant and bar by the beach (The Pelican's Nest) is a great place to relax after a day at the pool or beach. Seabrook Island Club facilities can only be accessed if you have an amenity card. Amenity cards are included during prime weeks (Easter, spring break and summer). Option to purchase amenity cards at owner price available for non-prime weeks.

Shopping and dining at Freshfields Village, Club facilities and Bohicket Marina Village offer all the conveniences of home within a very special water-oriented resort setting. The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island is less than five minutes away.

This updated villa is a two story unit (townhouse) that occupies the second and third floors;

the living area and a half bath are on the lower level, with two bedrooms and two full baths on the upper level. The main level has a large living room/dining room area, half bath and full kitchen (with stainless steel appliances--stove, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher--new maple cabinets, silestone countertops and all other kitchen accessories). The sofa will make into a queen-size bed to sleep extra people. Expanded cable television including ESPN and a blue ray player are available in this unit. We have added a 40 inch flat screen TV in the living room for your enjoyment. High speed wireless internet is provided for use during your stay. The living room leads onto a large screened porch with an amazing view of the marsh.

The upstairs features a master suite with a full bath and large screened porch that boasts a stunning marsh view. The master bedroom has a new King size bed and a flat screen TV with cable access. A full bath with walk-in shower is located off the master bedroom. The second bedroom has a private bath and a nice view of the lagoon and pool. This room has a queen size bed and a flat screen TV with cable. There is also a twin air

mattress available. There is a new front load washer and dryer upstairs.

If you are a nature lover, this unit is perfect for you! The marsh view boasts wonderful sightings of great blue herons and other water fowl, as well as a variety of other animal life. Painted buntings, tanagers and many other colorful birds can be seen in the oak trees near the porches. Raccoons, fox and other animals can be seen near the marsh, and deer and alligators are frequently seen throughout the island. Sunrises and sunsets can be enjoyed from either screened porch. Binoculars are furnished in the unit, so you can enjoy the amazing sights in the privacy of your own screened porches.

This is the perfect place to enjoy a stress-free and

relaxing vacation. Tennis courts and the equestrian center are very close by, and this complex has it's own private swimming pool. The beach is a very short drive or bike ride away, with plenty of parking available. Bike rental is available; this is a great way to see the island.

About The Owner

Being Floridians, my husband and I both missed the beach after we moved to South Carolina. Once we had a child, we wanted her to love the beach like we did. She was our inspiration for buying a place at the beach. Seeing her love for the beach and the enjoyment she receives when we visit Seabrook is very rewarding for us.

The Owner purchased this villa in 2006

Why The Owner chose South Carolina

We were fortunate to visit our neighbors' place at Seabrook a couple of times and quickly fell in love with the beautiful, tranquil setting. We were amazed at how beautiful the island is, and the non-touristy atmosphere (unlike many SC and FL beaches). We love the beach, but also love the marsh and wooded areas that allow frequent sightings of interesting birds, deer and other wildlife. Seabrook is very close to Charleston and the big city life, yet it seems so far away since it is so peaceful. Easy access from upstate SC, Columbia, Charlotte, Atlanta and other major cities was another draw. After we saw the enjoyment in our daughter's face when she was playing on the beach, splashing in the water, or the excitement when she saw a dolphin jump for the first time--we were hooked and knew Seabrook Island is where we would purchase our home away from home.

What makes this villa unique

Our favorite time on the island is early mornings out on our screened porch where we drink coffee and enjoy the beauty of the marsh and the wildlife and beautiful birds that inhabit it. Watching the beautiful Carolina sunset from the porch or on the beach is a relaxing way to end the day. Being the 'Gators' that we are, we enjoy counting alligators in the ponds out on Jenkins Point. In the springtime, it is fun to watch the baby alligators grow and begin to swim. We have seen baby herons and egrets grow and learn to fly. One of our daughter's favorite sightings was a baby fawn with the mother deer. Bicycles have been a great investment--we have spent many hours exploring the island via bicycles. (Great exercise and fun, too!) We have seen many interesting birds from our porches, and look forward to seeing the painted buntings each spring. We provide binoculars in our villa so renters can enjoy birdwatching if interested. Our place has everything you need to spend a relaxing week. Bring your clothes, some groceries and some sunscreen and you'll be ready to relax and love Seabrook Island like we do. Y'all come visit us soon!

Guestbook comments from the owner

I just wanted to thank you again for the opportunity to rent your home in Seabrook. We had a great time! There was plenty of room for all 5 of us and having the 3 bathrooms was perfect! I found your home clean and well equipped--everything we needed for a week at the beach. A pleasant surprise was that it was true to the pictures shown and more! Having a pool so close was another bonus. We really appreciated having the choice of the 3 pools available. There was live entertainment at the Pelican's Nest on Friday night which was fun too. It's unanimous--we all would love to come back next year if your home is available. Thank you again!

My wife and I were impressed from the moment we walked through the door. It is a beautiful condo! The pictures are accurate! We brought our young daughter and my mother in law and all of us had a great time. The stunning views from both of the screened porches were fantastic. The kitchen is well stocked with everything tool you would need to do some serious cooking. The beds were very comfy and my mother in law was pleased that there was a tv in the second bedroom. She also appreciated that there was a queen size bed instead of two twins that are the usual in a lot of two bedroom condos. The pool that is located in the complex was very nice as well. We were the only ones using it so if felt like it was our own private pool. Seabrook also boasts some of the best beaches I've been to. We never saw more than ten people on the beach at any time! Talk about private! Charleston is also just a short pleasant drive away for those looking for plenty of dining options and fantastic history from both the War of Independence and the Civil War! Lastly, I cannot say enough about Sherrill. She is so easy to deal with and very prompt with answering any questions that might arise about her condo! Well done Sherrill!! I would highly recommend renting this condo to anyone who might ask. We will certainly keep it in mind for future trips to Seabrook!

Love Love Love this place

The worst part of our whole stay was leaving. No kidding. My wife says this was our best family vacation ever (kids 9, 6, and 3). Wow. I knew we got the right place when there was a griddle in the kitchen (with everything else needed). Plenty of plates and flatware, soft sheets, fluffy towels the only thing missing was a mint on my pillow (my wife wouldn't go get any). We had the pool all to ourselves and never used amenity card for other pools. Views off back porches (2) were just as pictured. We saw deer crossing the marsh and saw some in the dunes at beach at dusk. Make sure to park at beach access points 7, 6, or 5. They are not the same as on Seabrook interactive map. If you park at 3A and 3B you better be in shape. Great place to stay, great owners to work with and very helpful with the area.

Perfect Location

  • 5 of 5

My cousin and I are actually still here on vacation and we have loved staying here . Owners has been amazing to work with, villa beautifully decorated and stocked as promised, and the two screened in porches were great! We both grew up coming to Seabrook and Kiawah Islands but both agree Seabrook is the better choice since it has remained quiet and private. The villa is in a perfect location and easy to get off/on the island. We even had a flat and the guard gate guys came to us and changed out the tire, refusing a tip. Will definitely be staying here again. I loved having a place with two queen (? Both) beds with attached bathrooms. Most places had only twin beds in their second bedrooms and that was frustrating to me.

Only suggestion would be a guest book. Growing up our condo had one and it was fun to see what people and their kids would write about their experiences while there. It was a treasure each time we visited and people really enjoyed it.

Thank you for the opportunity to stay in your guest home!!

Absolutely relaxing...

  • 5 of 5

The condo was stocked well and decorated beautifully! My family enjoyed the location to everything- we rode bikes everyday. I really want to thank the owner for handling with urgency- getting locked out. I called the owner and within the hour we had someone opening our door for us. I had a mild panic attack... when my children looked at me and started to freak out. Thanks for accomodating us! We will be back to this wonderful island and hopefully this condo... absolutely perfect!

Relaxed and Ready to Return!

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from our first trip to Seabrook Island and Charleston, and had the pleasure of staying in this wonderful Villa for our vacation! We absolutely loved the natural, quiet setting and screened in porches. Were serenaded by many birds, including a Great Horned Owl that sat in the tree just off the porch! Great place for coffee, reading or relaxing with a glass of wine! The quiet private pool at the Villa was a huge bonus as well. We went for a short time each day or evening to relax, and never had more than a few other people there~all of whom were very friendly and a pleasure to talk with! The Villa was comfortable, clean and nicely appointed for a family or two couples. Everything we needed and felt like home~could have stayed all summer, or just moved in! We enjoyed walks, drives and bike rides through the Island. Birds of all kinds and Deer are everywhere, and saw quite a few alligators which we all loved! And the club amenities being included with the Villa was great! The ocean front pool and dining is a fun atmosphere for a little change from the beach from time to time and the new Lake house is also wonderful! You can do as little or as much as you want. There are also beaches for everyone, with lower waves toward the inlet side and clubhouse, and bigger waves and more secluded areas up by the North beach! Loved it! Great for kayaking on calm days and wonderful for exploring tide pools and seeing dolphins at low tide! A dolphin swam within 15 feet of us! We did drive to the beach each day because we had rafts and such, but parking was close and easy access at all beaches and we found very convenient. Ample parking everywhere, including at Villa. Proximity to Charleston and all area attractions is also a huge plus...all withing 20-30 minute drive of Seabrook! History, tours, shopping, entertainment and great places to eat! Loved Freshfields Village, especially since it was so close to the Villa location. Great for coffee in the morning, quick grocery stop, restaurants and the activities on the Green were fun. Got delicious peaches and shaved ice, barbeque at the Farmers Market and Friday night music was also a fun summer night! Best of all, the owners are wonderful people and very personable and efficient with making plans! We will be back and plan to stay here again! Thank you, so much, for sharing your home away from home with our family! We enjoyed every minute and hated to leave!

Way to far away from everything and to expensive

  • 2 of 5

My stay was ok if all you wanted to do was stay in your condo and not do much and that is pretty much all I did. I was 20+ miles from Charleston, so only went there 3 times to do anything. I would have preferred if I stayed downtown Charleston so I could have walked to everything. The beach was so far away that I didn't even go there, and the only way of getting to the beach was through boardwalk paths. The amenities in the unit were very scarce. And the views from the screened in porches was minimal. The saving grace for my visit here was that there was a very nice grocery store fairly close, but the shops in the little shopping center were outragiously expensive. All in all the beds were comfortable, but not a place for someone with a disability as the bedrooms are way upstairs. Washer and dryer were nice to have, but for the money it was not worth it.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your commments. I regret that your stay was not what you were looking for. Please note that prior to your booking, I did provide you with extensive data regarding activities nearby and regarding our location (both distance from Charleston and distance from the beach). Also, I believe our VRBO website accurately indicates that we have a townhouse and that we are not on the first floor of the building (I also mentioned this to you when we talked). Personally, our family loves our location and the view, so again,we are disappointed that your stay was less than you expected.
