The spacious living and dining salon is across the hall from a well equipped kitchen. The house has free wifi. The salon area opens onto the gardens and a decked dining area with garden furniture, petanque court and BBQ. The garden is flat and enclosed, so very child friendly. There is a games room with pool table and various board games. Located within 15 minutes drive of Honfleur. The small local village of Conteville has a bakers, shops, pub and a Michelin star restaurant.

As soon as we visited Honfleur in 2004, we thought it was stunning and bought a holiday cottage in the region within 6 months of our first visit. When we had children, we needed a property that was larger and more child friendly, yet still retained rustic charm and a rural setting. That is why we loved this house. The garden is large, safe and accessible for children to play in. The house layout is also great for when we visit as an extended family.
Compared to our first cottage, this house is spacious and light and perfect for a growing family. We also loved that we could walk to the local bakers and mini-mart.
Nous avons quitté le hameau Pottier hier matin, et avons particulièrement apprécié le confort de la maison ainsi que le pays magnifique
Cela nous a permis de passer d'excellents moments en famille
Je vous présente mes meilleurs voeux pour 2012
We enjoyed our stay over New Year and the property worked well for our group, which was made up of 3 families including 6 adults and 7 children aged 11-17. In general we didn't feel cramped in the house, although the dining table only sat 10 comfortably so the adults ate separately to the children, and two of the children had to top and tail in a double bed (neither was an issue for us, but do check the bedroom layout to avoid a surprise on arrival as there are a lot of doubles). The property was comfortable and warm (especially as outside was around -5C most of the time), there was an adequate supply of logs for the open fire, and the children really enjoyed the games room. There were a few maintenance issues which were unsurprising mid winter, but nothing that couldn't be resolved with a quick call to the owner.
We loved our stay. Beautiful location. Lovely private and secluded garden in the middle of beautiful countryside. House full of character and lovely views. Great part of the country. Classic Normandy. Lynne
I'd go along with half of the strapline. Hameau Pottier is large and privately situated but, unless you have a private jet, you're not going to reach Honfleur in ten minutes and, as for delightful: not quite. The house is undeniably handsome from the outside and comfortable enough on the inside but Hameau Pottier cries out for a little attention. The lounge, for example, large as it is, contains two highchairs but not a single lamp. A couple of standard lamps are a must! Small things, like chalk for the pool room, and the provision of an extra key, need to be attended to. The TV didn't work at all when we stayed. How about a radio in the kitchen? And how about WiFi? Not a necessity, perhaps, but it would be a welcome addition for many guests and it would beat directing them to McDonalds in Honfleur. And paying extra for linen is one thing - but we've never been told to strip our beds in any of the many places we've stayed in over the years! Customer service was similarly wanting. I messaged twice after our stay before getting a reply and am yet to receive confirmation that the damage deposit will be returned, although the owner did kindly tell me not to worry about the wine glass we broke. A courteous 'We hope you enjoyed your stay...' would have been appreciated, following our visit. It is these touches that cause people to recommend places to others.
We spent a fabulous week here in July 2009. The location was fantastic and perfect for a family with 3 small children. The house was well equipped and spotlessly clean. Would recommend highly!!!
We enjoyed our holiday at this house.
The place was very well equipped and was ideal for a family holiday with children as the garden was big enough for the kids to run around.
Large rooms and good layout with excellent facilities. Clean and well maintained.
Thoroughly recommended for those who want a quiet rural retreat that is not too far out of town.
We spent two weeks at this house in July 2008. We enjoyed our stay very much, The location is great - convenient for Honfleur. Lovely and peaceful countryside setting - you can walk into the local village in 10 mins for your morning bread etc. The games room was a great benefit and all the rooms spacious. The house was clean on arrival with fresh bedding and towels laid out. I would come back to this house.
Honfleur is a charming harbour town, with plenty of restaurants, shops, cafés and art galleries. Honfleur has an interesting Maritime museum and an impressive array of architecture. The public gardens, with outside swimming pool are also very pretty.
Conteville is a lovely little village on the outskirts of Honfleur. It has a small selection of shops, including bakers, butchers, mini-supermarket, hairdresser and post office. There is also a creperie, tabac and a Michelin star restaurant for those evenings when you want to stroll out rather than drive.
Just down the coast from Honfleur is the famous duet of towns Trouville and Deauville with their designer shops, casinos, sandy beach, restaurants, race course and variety of golf courses.
In and around Honfleur you will find many public tennis courts, horse riding stables, sea fishing and water sports. Calvados has beautifully lush green countryside and sandy coastline. The D-Day beaches are also a short drive away from the house.
