About Alison Baker & Robert Podgursky
We are a fun-loving family of 6 (two parents, two kids, a pug an a gecko) who share an absolute love of the Berkshires, "our happy place". Nothing beats hanging out under a shady tree while the kids frolic in the lake or a hike that ends in a waterfall. We live full- time in Maplewood, NJ, where we have access to NYC for our jobs. We warmly welcome adults (and dogs) of any ethnicity, color, religion and sexual orientation.

Why Alison Baker & Robert Podgursky chose Stockbridge
It was love at first sight. It's such a cute home! It has the perfect balance of privacy and comfort while being a quick drive to amazing restaurants and all the Berkshires have to offer. My kids love the large backyard.
What makes this House unique
Location and modern amenities such as central air, which is wonderful on hot days. This house is suitable for a "working vacation" because of the excellent Wifi but it is also an ideal place for unwinding and discovering the Berkshires. The house is very kid-friendly and dogs are considered.

The place was perfect, tucked away but close to everything.
Cozy home in Stockbridge
Overall, this was a lovely home. The place was clean and spacious. Alison was very generous and allowed us to bring two older dogs with us to the home. She also had a great list of local restaurants. This place is probably best for couples and for families with kids. It is a little more challenging for families with mobility issues due to the stairs and all bedrooms being on the second floor. Additionally, the check-out process requires the beds be stripped and sheets and towels be brought to the basement. For young families, this is a breeze. If you’re an older couple, just keep this in mind before booking.
This is a wonderful home, setting, and a very communicative owner. If you’re looking to get away in the Berkshire’s, you’ll love this cottage.
Wonderful setting for vacation!
This place is wonderful. Very clean and comfortable. Great kitchen and grill for cooking in and close to many restaurants and shopping! Sitting in the backyard you can’t see any neighbors and can just listen to the river through the trees.
Cozy, clean, and scenic
The house was cozy, spacious, and very clean. Views from the home were beautiful. We didn’t have a ton of interaction with the host but she was responsive and provided helpful information and instructions. Easy to get to everything in the area.
This delightful modern cottage exceeded all our expectations. It's charming, wonderfully designed to accommodate multiple couples, and beatifully appointed. A lot of thought and insight went into planning this retreat. It s utterly private and yet convenient to restaurants, shops, etc. We celebrated Christmas there with our adult children and cooking was a big activity. The kitchen was so well appointed and easy for collective cooking projects. There's even an actual dining room that is warm and inviting. Alison was a perfect hostess - readily available by text when we first arrived and her directions and suggestions were right on point. Hope we can return sometime to enjoy summer in this delightful location.
This house is amazing! It's close to everything you'd want to do in the Berkshires.... if you can find a way to want to leave it for a moment. It is SUPER comfortable and cozy. We stayed here with 6 adults and one toddler. We loved cooking in the kitchen, having family dinners in the dining room, sitting by the fire, and walking in the backyard which is huge. The beds are incredibly comfortable. The master bedroom is a dream. Everything was clean and there wasn't one thing we needed that the house didn't have. We can't wait to return! Highly recommend to anyone winter, spring, summer or fall!
