A fantastic house in a great location.

When booking, you need to pay a separate amount direct to the owner's bank account for oil, linen and towels. My bank charged me £15 to transfer this money so I think this amount should just be added to the main payment to Shamrock Cottages for renting the cottage as most of that payment ends up going to the cottage owner anyway.

The cottage was spotlessly clean and tidy when I arrived. There is plenty of room and the whole cottage is tastefully decorated. All the furnishings appeared to be brand new. You might need to bring a bar of soap with you as there was no soap provided in the bathrooms. Also,if you want to do any reading after dark, the lights in the living area are a bit dim so you would need to move to the sun lounge where the lights are a bit brighter. Otherwise everything you might want is provided. The TV has Freesat so you have about 40 channels to choose from, there is a CD player/radio,books,magazines and board games.

A small beach is two minutes walk away, the road down to it had a large puddle when I was there occupying its whole width so you might get your shoes dirty. Once you get to the beach, you will find a stream bisecting it so you will need to take a run up to hurdle the stream as most of the beach is on the other side. You will almost certainly have the beach to yourself.

You will find guides and maps in the dresser next to the table. Make sure you visit Inch beach and do the Slea Head drive. Also, the Connor Pass road has great views from the top. As a single traveller,I did lots of walking but if you are going as a family there are lots of things to do as well.

Take care driving from the cottage to the main Dingle road. The roads surrounding the cottage are narrow and curvy so take them slowly in case you encounter another car coming from the opposite direction. There is a small shop in Lispole for basic groceries and larger supermarkets in Dingle.

Overall,I enjoyed my holiday very much and would recommend the cottage without hesitation. You can see the sea from the cottage and its garden and the area is peaceful and quiet.
