Outside: Traditional stone cottage (19th c.) in idyllic setting beside the Coomhola River at the foot of the Caha Mountains and about a mile from the sea at Bantry Bay. Very scenic area ideal for walking, cycling and touring, river and sea fishing. Swimming in river. Nearest shop, pub and restaurant in Ballylickey about 2 miles. Bantry (6 miles) and Glengarriff (8 miles) offer fine restaurants, golf course and shops. Boat trips to Whiddy Island and Garnish Island with its exotic gardens. Ancient oak woodlands at Glengarriff Forest Park. Garden furniture.

Inside: Tastefully restored to retain character and charm. Comfortably furnished with kitchen/sitting/dining room with open fire and electric shower and W.C. and steep spiral stairs to open plan loft bedroom with a double bed. Duvets. Electric heaters. TV. Washing machine and tumble dryer in outhouse. No pets.

Coomhola Cottage:

The Cottage is in a peaceful location, close to Bantry which has loads of pubs and little shops. We took many day drives sightseeing. On our last night the owners came and said good bye and wished us a happy trip.

I would recommend this location for people who want to be close to the sea and away from the noise of life.
