This is a unique cottage located on our working farm which is very close to Oxford city centre. The house is approximately 200 years old, probably older but it is hard to say exactly. it is built from thick stone walls and oak beams. It is very traditional with a large inglenook fireplace in the living room. There is a wood burning stove in the fireplace so you can have cosy evenings in from of the fire. We will provide the wood which is grown on the farm.
The entrance to the cottage is through the small kitchen which is equipped with all the basics for cooking and doing laundry. The living room is really cosy and charming. The little curving staircase is in the living room and takes you up to the first bedroom. It is a really gorgeous cottage room with a double bed. The cottage is traditional in its layout, so there is no corridor upstairs and you access the second bedroom through the first. The second bedroom is really quaint and pretty with two full size single beds. The bathroom is on the ground floor, off the living room, with a bath and shower over the bath.
There is a really lovely garden for exclusive use of the cottage. There is a lawn and lots of lovely flowers in the summer. There is a covered area for al fresco dining. It is located right on the River Thames With Port Meadow only 100m away.
