Can't say enough! Spent a week in Sorrento after coming from the hustle and bustle of Rome. This apartment is right in the center of old town Sorrento. We walked all of the old streets at night and felt completely safe coming back. It's really close to the port and the scenic patio overlooking the bay of Naples. We had no trouble taking the elevator down to the port and catching the ferries to both Capri and Positano. Also went to the beach via the elevator for a little sun. Filomena speaks fluent English and was very helpful in assisting us with ideas on what to do and how to get around. The old square Piazza Tasso was less than a 5 minute walk and getting up to the train/bus station across from Piazza Lauro took only 10 minutes. We caught the train to Pompei there (a definite must for anyone coming to the Naples area) and took the bus to Nerano on the other side of the peninsula. The apartment had everything we needed and suited us (4) way better than a hotel. Many thank, Filomena! We shall return!!!!!
I like this place so much that I'm writing my review twice ....... I lost the first one. Basically, if your looking for a typical apartment this isn't it. It's better! We stayed for 4 nights in September 2012 and had a great time. The beds are comfy and the p,ace vey clean. The main bedroom is in an arched room so it was a little romantic and the kids loved the mezzanine bedroom. The flat is on the ground floor and the bedrooms are upstairs. It has a small but adequate kitchen and a lovely bathroom (good hot shower after the leaking cold showers of Rome). But the best part ofnthenstay was the owner Filomena , what an incredibly ice lady. On our arrival she had fresh fruit, two types of mineral water and cracker there for us as "I thought you might need something refreshing after your train trip". How consideration. Nothing was too much trouble - she talked about what we hoped to do and gave us excellent advice. Even when we got our clothes stuck in the washing machine and she had to get the mechanic she was sooo nice about it, and didn't charge us!! The flat is maximum 40 steps from the city centre and just 10 minutes walk to the train station (and I walk slowly). It was wonderful to be able to stroll the little back streets of Sorrento at night and be safe and go home to a secure and comfy nearby flat. Thanks Filomena, hopefully we will be back one day! Rana and family
It's situated in piazza Sant'Antonino one of the main square of Sorrento. Five minutes walking from the harbour , train station and bus station. One huondred meters from piazza Tasso and near the shopping center of the town and very closed to the most interesting tourist attractions .
