Spanish Beachfront Apartments, Pool, close to bars/restaurants, 3 & 4 bedrooms
This beach front apartment is set within the same small secure courtyard development as our other apartment. It is typically Spanish in style and is on the ground floor overlooking the beach to the front and nature reserve to the right, there are children’s play areas and a café/bar on the promenade just 2 mins walk.
To the front of the property there is a lovely garden/patio with table and chairs, BBQ and sun loungers.
Double doors lead into the lounge area with 2 bedrooms and bathroom off, to the rear there is a modern fully fitted kitchen and outside yard/ utility area, a further bedroom is to the rear of the property, there is a back door that leads into the courtyard and pool area shown in photo. Most of our neighbours are Spanish and very friendly and helpful. there are bars and restaurants along the front and within a 5 min walk, the beach is only across the quiet access road, approximately 20 metres, we also have private parking in the garden or in front of the gates

Girls holiday, we hired bikes and had a wonderful time exploring the area - local towns, beaches , the mar menor and nature reserve,.
Te apartment was very clean, lovely location all just as described, will definitely be returning
Very peaceful spot, seaview and quiet
Very quiet place in April which is what we wanted. Nice homely Spanish apartment. Hardly any cars driving past so it worked well to sit out on the front having breakfast, lunch or an evening drink. We didn't need a car and could walk along the boardwalk to other beaches. Would be a great place to hire bikes but we only had a few days so just wanted to chill out. Had 50 mph winds from the northeast for a day but were almost completely sheltered on our patio at the front which was great. Only a couple of places to eat nearby in April but it worked well for us. Supermarket 1 min away was very small but had the basics. All the locals and restaurant owners were so friendly and we were surprised how well priced drinks were. A really lovely little gem in an over developed Spain.
Only reason not to return would be the very small standard double bed and shower needed improving - we had to wait half an hour between showers to get temperature back up to hot so could be an issue with more than 2 people but guess that would be no problem having a cooler shower in the very hot days of summer. Definitely lovely place for a super quiet getaway. Only sounds were the sea and cicadas at night.
The property location was very good but the internal condition was not really up to standard for the price we paid. The property was not cleaned properly all the kitchen units were greasy to touch and the oven and trays took me forever to try and clean and the grill did not work at all. The electrics tripped all the time so you could not use the extractor hood if you had the hob on. The TV was useless and the DVD would switch off halfway through a film the music centre volume control was erratic. The siesta time was constantly disturbed by the banging gate to the complex and the parking space was a constant battle to try and get into. Sorry for all the negatives but if you dont know you cant improve on it.
I was very shocked to get a review like this as we have had over 60 holiday bookings in our apartment over the last 4 years and this is the first negative review we have had. The property is typically Spanish, but the sofa's etc are less than 2 years old and the kitchen was replaced. Our agents meet with all our holidaymakers on arrival and they are given phone numbers to contact them if there are any problems as they live only 5 mins walk away, as they were not aware of any problems they can not deal with them immediately for you, I can not comment on the cleaning as our agents have cleaned and acted for us for the last 2 years and we have never had a complaint. I know when you were leaving you mentioned the extractor hood and DVD player, the hood appears to be working with the hob when tested, the DVD player has been replaced. I am sorry if you were disturbed by the gate into the pool usually at siesta time it is quiet because the pool is not open, we pay yearly for a vado permanente sign on our gates which is a legal sign to stop anyone parking in front of the gates in the parking space, which is enforceable by the police.

Todo correcto, hemos pasado unas vacaciones en familia muy agradables, propietarios siempre atentos a cualquier duda o consulta. Zona tranquila donde poder pasear, hacer deporte o actividades acuáticas de cualquier tipo. Restaurantes cercanos y bares donde poder comer, cenar y salir a tomar una copa. El vehículo siempre tiene su plaza enfrente de la vivienda, no hemos tenido ningún problema de aparcamiento.

El Mojon is a typical Spanish village near the Mar Menor, (the famous salt-water lagoon), and the San Pedro Nature Reserve (were you observe many species of flora and fauna). It has clean safe beaches and a lovely promenade with walks leading to the reserve,salt lakes and marina ,(there are a few restaurants on site at the marina to try) or in the opposite direction to the next village of Torre which has a marina and a lovely square and plaza with a few bars and restaurants. In El Mojon there are 5 bars/ restaurants open all year, more open in the summer season some on the beaches, 2 supermarkets and a pharmacy. San Pedro, and Pilar are typical Spanish towns, with its churches and square in the middle, Lo Pagan is on the Mar Menor lagoon, with its cafés restaurants and bars, beach and promenade, all these are about a 30 min walk away, less than 5 mins by car. Local golf courses - Campoamar, Villa martin, Las Ramblas are 10 mins away. Discover the Charm and Beauty of the Real Spain. CLEANING FEE OF 70 EURO PAID DIRECTLY TO OUR AGENTS ON ARRIVAL Pets allowed only by PRIOR agreement, extra 30 euro cleaning fee and £250 or euro deposit paid on arrival and returned on day of departure if everything is OK. Electric heaters for winter use available from agents at £20 per heater per week Towels are provided for use Only within the property.
