Why Annette chose Santiago del Teide
Sitting on either of the front terraces watching the spectacular sunsets has been utterly fantastic. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we do.

best view ever
We had a fabulous time at Casa Sunset. The apartment is spacious and well appointed - with a lot of homey practical touches like an extensive DVD and book collection, plenty of linens, and basics in the fridge when we arrived.
The view is simply amazing - even better than you see in the photos. You can see "Los Gigantes", the rock formation, from both patios.
The town of Los Gigantes is a cute little resort town which we had fun exploring - lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. It made a nice base for our explorations of Tenerife. We were always able to find parking on the street outside the apartment.
Fabulous in every way
We have just returned from a week in Los Gigantes staying at this wonderful apartment. It is maintained to a very high standard and equipped with everything you could ever require on your holidays, we absolutely loved it and will hopefully be returning next year. Booking was very straight forward, Annette kept us informed every step of the way and provided us with helpful local knowledge too.
Book it, you won’t be disappointed.

Everything excellent and as described
Nothing really to add to the 5 star rating. Annette was very helpful and easy to deal with throughout. There was a minor problem at the beginning of our stay which was quickly resolved by Annette and the local agent, Safe Hands. A great holiday away from UK's winter blast!
The apartment is really well equipped and the basics you don't often get are supplied, welcome pack, soaps, washing up liquid etc., the notes to enjoy your stay are meticulous. The views from both balconies over the sea and town are truly stunning. It's a 10 minute walk to the town. Highly recommended for a relaxing break.
We agree with previous 5 star reviews. Nothing no more to add from what others have said really.
Nice stay, amazing view
We spend a very nice week here. Casa Sunset is nice, clean and has an amazing view from both terraces. It´s situated in a quiet area but close to everything. A very good place to stay and explore all the island. Very good communication with Annette.
Los Gigantes is a quiet, small resort on the sunny south-west coast of Tenerife and offers all the ingredients for the most enjoyable holiday. The village derives its name (The Giants) from the majestic cliffs which rise to a height of 1800feet and steer the clouds away from the resort giving Los Gigantes a sunny climate.
Sports facilities in the area include bowls, snorkelling, scuba diving, water-skiing, jet-skiing, parascending and fishing. There are several good golf courses on the island. Other water sports such as windsurfing and kite-boarding van be enjoyed further along the coast.
All guests at Casa Sunset have complimentary passes to the pool at Tipsy Terrace (variable seasonal opening times), which is surrounded by grassy sunbathing areas with sun beds as well as a children's pool. There is also a crazy golf course, 3 tennis courts, a bar and a popular restaurant.
At the heart of Los Gigantes is the village square where you will find the church, bars, restaurants and a bakery/coffee shop. In and around the village you will find 2 chemists, plenty of shops, supermarkets and banks and ATMs. The choice of bars, cafes and excellent restaurants is astounding for such a small resort. The competition is keen which keeps the standards high, the choices wide and prices reasonable. The restaurant 'El Rincon de Juan Carlos' (just off the square) was awarded a Michelin star in 2016. A very reasonable lunch or dinner is available at the Diamond SKA Hotel just opposite Casa Sunset - with panoramic views.
There is a Tourist Office in Los Gigantes stocked with many free information leaflets, maps, excursions etc. The staff are English speaking and most helpful. Just past this office is the Oasis Pool with a bar, restaurant and sunbeds - it has an entrance fee if you wish to use the pool - free if you just want visit the bar or restaurant.
Another pool option is the Oasis Pool, Av Jose Gonzalez Forte, Los Gigantes. It has a heated pool and a reasonably-priced restaurant and a pool bar. For more information, check out their website:
The public bus company, 'TITSA' provide a frequent and cheap service running along the coast or over the mountain to the other side of the island (http://titsa.com/index.php/en/).
Taxi fares are reasonable, as are car hire prices.
A little way along the coast (20 minute stroll or 2 minute drive) is the 'Blue Flag' beach of Playa Arena which is surrounded by palm trees as well as shops, bars and restaurants.
If sunbathing gets a bit boring, then there are a lot of organised excursions to choose from. Several boat trips start from Los Gigantes harbour and you can marvel at the impressive cliffs from right beneath them, as well as spot dolphins and whales that live in the coastal waters. Coach tours can be taken to see the various wonders of Tenerife. The most impressive of which is the volcano Mount Teide (the highest point in Spain) rising to over 3000 metres and snow capped during the winter months. 'Teide by Night' is an expensive but memorable trip - including a 3-course meal, sight-seeing in the Mt Teide National Park, a glass of cava whist watching the sunset and amazing star gazing. It is also possible to take a day trip to visit the closest island of La Gomera which can be seen from Casa Sunset. The ferry sails from Los Cristianos (http://www.gomera.info/faehre.htm).
