We just wanted to say what a fabulous holiday we have enjoyed at your property in Meursault. It is in a wonderful position with glorious views over the countryside, the kitchen is a dream and the pool and gardens were ideal for us all, but especially the children. It was one of the best holidays we have ever had!

Très bon séjour dans un endroit charmant

  • 5 of 5

Excellent accommodation in lovely vineyard setting

  • 5 of 5

We spent a lovely week in La Maisonette - the smallest of the three houses that are part of this property. We had a very warm welcome from Elisabeth who was very helpful. The house is really charming (a spiral staircase leads up to a loft style bedroom with a window that looks over vineyards) and all was very clean and well equipped. We really enjoyed the outdoor seating and the BBQ as well. It was a great place to sit and relax and enjoy the tranquil surroundings and the lovely view across the vineyards. The pool is excellent and also the other facilities such as the sauna and the washing machine.

The house is situated an easy walk into very attractive Mersualt which has good selection cafes and bakery and charcuterie etc, and some good restaurants . It's an excellent base to explore the rest of Burgundy. We also enjoyed some local walks (marked paths with yellow and red markers) around the vineyards. We had a lovely holiday here and if we return to Burgundy we would love to come again to stay at the Le Clos d'Isand'Or

Well maintained, clean and tidy property.

  • 4 of 5

We found this accomadation in a nice quite location yet only a short walk from the village centre with its small selection of bakeries, restaurants and bars. It was within a short drive to several other picturesque villages.

The accommodation was clean and tidy and well presented. The pool and sauna were well maintained and Elisbeth was on hand if we had any questions or problems. On our second day the sauna broke but it was very quickly and efficiently repaired without delay.

We had a lovely holiday and would highly recommend this accommodation.

Excellent accommodation in Meursault!

  • 5 of 5

My boyfriend and I stayed at La Maisonette for six days - it was such a great experience. We were warmly welcomed by Elisabeth, the neighbour, who explained everything about the house. The house was clean, and it lived up to the description on homeaway.com. I expected less upon arrival, but the whole house and surroundings were just so charming. I was very positively surprised.

The wifi works well. The pool is very nice and clean, and there are sun beds and some toys. We used the washing machine, which was a nice service. We continued our vacation near Annecy, and it was nice to be able to wash our clothes before leaving Burgundy.

The house is not in the heart of Meursault, but we actually liked being just outside the center of Meursault. We were just next to the vine fields, which were the perfect background for an evening meal on the terrace of La Maisonette. As the house is on a small hill on the way to Monthelie, you'll have an excellent view over Meursault. You can easily walk to Meursault (about 10 min to the center where you'll find two bakeries, several restaurants, small super market, pharmacy). On your way you will again have a beautiful panorama view over the vine fields.

There is a camping site 100 metres away where we rented bikes (good quality) for a day. Helmets and baskets are provided as well. So easy and convenient. There is a good bicycle road from Beaune to Santenay in the south, which will lead you through the small villages and vine fields. We enjoyed that trip!

The house is a few metres from La Route des Grands Crus, which you can follow by car. It also gives a good overview of the area.

Beaune is close as well, which makes for a good day trip. There is also bigger super markets just outside Beaune. We visited Bouchard Père et fils, where we had an excellent tour in the caves with a very passionate and smart guide (book in advance).

La Maisonette is perfect if you want you want to relax in calm and beautiful surroundings, and at the same time be able to go to bigger cities for some city life. If we visit Burgundy in the future, we would definitely consider coming back to this wonderful house!

Meursault is a charming winegrower's village, world famous among wine lovers for its white wines. Surrounded by vineyards it is idyllically situated in the valley, in close vicinity to other famous wine villages as Pommard or Volnay. Beaune, the capital of Burgundy red wine, is also just nearby (7 km). But not only for wine lovers is Burgundy a dream. Both for gourmets and culturally interested is Burgundy a must (the Abbey of Fontenay - listed in the UNESCO World heritage - is only one site among many worth seeing). Finally, Meursault is also very conveniently located, as two major European motorways cross not far from Beaune.
