Why Bill Roth chose Fairbanks
The Nottingham House is an irresistible property in an ideal location. Visitors will love their stay here. The property located in the wooded hills and yet is close to everything. Large groups of 6, 8 or 14 can all stay together.
What makes this House unique
Aurora viewing is amazing, right out the front door! No other houses are visible from the Nottingham house yet close to town and many Fairbanks attractions. Located in the hills it is often 10 to 15 degrees warmer than town and North Pole area.

Great home base for Aurora viewing.
This property met all our needs while staying in Fairbanks to view the Aurora borealis. We even saw it out our window one night. The house is nicely decorated and has lots of natural light with good views of the Alaska mountain range. It has all the amenities one would need, comfortable beds with pillows of varying firmness, plenty of blankets, hotel grade towels and and showers with good water pressure and flow. It was the attention to small details that makes this rental property extremely user friendly . We did not cook but the kitchen was well equipped. The instructions for departing were great, just lock the door. The owner Bill Roth is personable and responded quickly to my text messages. He was a superb host willing to help with any question or issue we had.
Thank you for your kind words. It was a pleasure meeting you both. Come again :-)
Beautiful area outside of Fairbanks but still close to everything. The home was perfect to everything that was needed and comfortable. Clean and well kept. Great owner communication.
Our stay was amazing! The house was outstanding!
We truly felt like this was our “home” away from home. Every detail was thought of, from heated floors in the master bath and entry room, everything you need in the kitchen, 2 pull out trash cans in the kitchen (what a convenience), deck, grill, and the WiFi was just fine! The house was so roomy and spacious for our family of 4, and so nice and warm! The gas fireplace was perfect with the snow outside, but we really didn’t need it for warmth with how well the house held its heat. Bill was so helpful in recommending everything from places to go to restaurants, and we just enjoyed getting to hear some of his Alaska adventures!
Beautiful, spacious home close to town
Beautiful, comfortable home. Heated floor in entryway was a warm welcome in winter
Beautiful home, inside and out!
Comfortable living spaces, well equipped kitchen, fabulous bathrooms and spotlessly clean. A wonderful home away from home in Fairbanks.
great ambience, decor and lovely scenery
The upper Nottingham House is excellently designed. We have a good time here!
The kitchen is most appreciated. We were surprised when open the cabinet, from kitchenware/utentils to seasonings & oil spray, all you need for cooking is just there; we enjoyed making breakfast during the stay. The house has quiet enviornment but is convenient, only 15 mins drive from downtown Fairbanks. Every details of the house reflected devotion of the owner.
