This wonderful apartment is located on the 2nd floor of Sherborne House, a stately home which was converted into luxury flats 30 years ago. The flat has recently been completely refurbished and comprises 2 bedrooms - 1 with superking size bed and 1 with twin beds. The master bed has an en-suite bathroom and there is in addition a second bathroom. The living room has wonderful views over the estate and surrounding countryside and is furnished with an eclectic mix of modern and antique furniture. The kitchen looks out over the charming courtyard and is well equipped with everything you could need.
The grounds of Sherborne House are extensive, and include a beautiful lawned garden, pond with koi carp, orangery and a well maintained tennis court. The indoor heated pool is in a separate building, with ping pong table, darts, sauna and gym equipment.
The village of Sherborne is largely owned by the National Trust - the cottages and buildings are classic Cotswolds in every respect, with little modern architecture anywhere. The village shop and tea room is a hive of activity and is well worth a visit.
As you would expect there are some of the Cotswolds' best walks in this area, some of which take you along the River Windrush - a truly picturesque spot. The villages that lead along the Windrush Valley are similarly stunning including Windrush (creatively named!), Great and Little Barrington and Farmington in the other direction.
Northleach, which is approx 5 miles away has a small selection of shops, but does have one of the best pubs in the whole of the Cotswolds - The Wheatsheaf which is well worth a visit, but bring your credit card! Burford is approx 7 miles away with its selection of shops and pubs - equally desirable.
The Cotswold Wildlife Park, complete with rhinos on the front lawn, is just round the corner as is the imaginatively named Crocodiles of the World.
There are a host of beautiful villages nearby and similarly local attractions - all of which should keep you busy and occupied.
