About Jeff Abrams
Born in southern California and having grown up in Malibu, I've traipsed across much of the west, including Humboldt County (CA), Big Cottonwood Cyn (UT), Iliamna (AK) and coastal Oregon before setting roots for the last 20+ years in Boise. I worked as a fisheries biologist, here in Idaho, before founding and managing the Treasure Valley's only community radio station, Radio Boise (tune in to 89.9 or 93.5 fm when you're in town!). I'm now working for a media start-up, as customer relations manager, and am transitioning into life as a HUSBAND, as Deirdre and I got married last summer! Deirdre makes profound impressions on young people, as a 5th grade teacher, in the mountain town of McCall - 2 hours north of Boise - and is the amazing mother of two girls, Olivia (13) and Catherine (11). We love to spend time sharing our love and respect of the outdoors with our girls and feel SO blessed to be living amongst the incredible beauty of Idaho.

What an awesome house overlooking Boise! It was clean, had an amazing view, and was close to downtown. Thanks!
Feels like home
It feels like home as soon as you enter. It was clean and very quite. The views were beautiful while sitting outside with a glass of wine. The location is not far from Boise Airport and close enough to shops and restaurants. The owners are only a text away if you need anything. The places they recommend to eat at were extremely good and satisfying. They strive to insure your comfort and happiness with their home. I would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again if/when we get a chance to visit Boise. Thank you Jeff and Deirdre. :-)
Awesome Location and Place
My wife and I spent 3 months and very much enjoyed our stay. The house is well maintained and updated throughout. Great location in the foothills overlooking the valley and close to downtown as well as many amenities. Highly recommend staying here!
Beautiful home and views
We really enjoyed our stay. The home is very clean, comfortable beds and well stocked. The large windows compliment the views. Definitely recommended!
Will be our home away from home!
House was beautifully updated inside. The kitchen is narrow. It's pretty much a one-person kitchen if you're cooking. That wasn't a problem since it was only my husband and me. Kitchen was well stocked. We brought our own coffee maker and coffee. There was a french press coffee maker available. Plenty of dishes, pots and pans available. We didn't use the oven nor the dish washer. The electric stove top worked fine. Used it just a couple of times. The king bed, very comfortable, was better than the one we have at home. It's comfortably decorated going for the mid-modern style. The living room could use a couple lamps possibly. The home is on a hill. The view from the living room/dining room and porch is awesome! The only negative we could find would be water pressure isn't the greatest in the bathtub but it wasn't a deal breaker. Shower pressure was fine. We definitely will be back again. There's no need to look elsewhere! Thank you for sharing your home for 8 days with us!
We rented Kestrel's Perch as we were visiting our son who just transferred to Boise State and we wanted a quiet, dog-friendly place to use as our home base to explore the campus and Boise. This place was perfect! We felt right at home as soon as we arrived. It is an older home that has been completely updated and was spotlessly clean, with some of the original mid century features remaining like the bathroom vanity and some super cool furniture, but also with all the amenities and conveniences you would hope for-- a comfortable bed, luxurious linens, beautiful faucets in the bathroom sink and shower, with the added bonus of an outdoor sectional perfect for enjoying a glass of wine, a good book, and the incredible view at the end of the day. There is lots of natural light from the big windows, large TVs in the living room and master bedroom, and a large, convenient work area in the second bedroom where I set up my laptop, spread out and got some work done while we were there. We had our son and his girlfriend over twice and made dinner in the well equipped kitchen. There is an Albertson's store 4 minutes away that is one of the best grocery stores I have been in that included an extensive array of beers in their walk in, wines, super fresh produce and a Boise Broncos selection of sweatshirts, socks, etc. We loved our stay in this beautiful house and now consider it our "home away from home" as we visit our son over the next two years...whenever we go to Boise again, this is where we want to stay!
