Our villa is a 130 year old fully modernized traditional farmhouse or cortijo. It is the perfect place for your ideal holiday or short break. Great place if you want your dogs with you on holiday.

Sleeps from 2 to 12 people in our 4 bedroom villa and optional separate 2 bedroom annexe just outside Antequera. The main house has a fabulous modern kitchen, three bathrooms, including a huge round hydrotherapy bath, a very big living room with 5 sofas,Freeview TV, CD hi-fi, free Wifi Internet access,separate large dining room.

The poolside annexe offers two more additional and completely optional bedrooms, both with en suite hydrotherapy bathrooms, hot and cold air conditioning.

Outdoors there is a modern 8x5m kidney-shaped swimming pool set in fenced and landscaped gardens - totally private and just 10 minutes drive from the beautiful city of Antequera.

Flexible change overs/Short Breaks on request: Our normal changeover day is Saturday (departing at 10am, arriving at 4pm), though we are very happy to be flexible if bookings allow.

The Cortijo Las Vinas Villa was a great villa, very centrally located to the Costa De Sol area. The owners were great in providing information and maps at the villa of the surrounding area. The villa was well appointed and Paul the property manager was very helpful. We enjoyed the pool and our stay. We would have liked to spend more time at the villa and enjoyed the immediate area more. Their a couple grocery stores and a great restaurant in Mollina that was provided by the owner that was good information. Also, next to the Dia supermarket in Mollina is a store that has packing material and other odds and ends for your return trip home.

Wonderful villa

We spent the month of October, 2008 at the villa, and were very pleased. The location is wonderful for day trips or chilling out as you wish. A fantastic benefit was the local train station only 15 minutes away, as well as the closeness of the high speed station.

The Villa is very well appointed for those that like to cook in or just kick back for a day or a week. The grounds are beautiful, and the abundance of fruit trees a plus. We found the owners to be very easy to talk with, and the local English property manager a definite plus.

We would definitely come back to the Cortijo on our next visit to Andalusia.

We enjoyed a Stunning 2 weeks holiday here!

Thanks for a great property to stay in. Very very well equipped. Very well maintained.

We are fortunate enough to holiday a lot, this last fortnight we spent in mollina was our 5th this year, so we have lots to compare it to. This is first time we havnt had to go out and buy new sheets for the beds, as these were just like 5* hotel sheets. Beds were comfortable. Specious rooms. Lovely views. Lots of books and CDs, games etc. internet tv was a pain in ****! But we managed to watch the odd thing. Kitchen had ever pot, pan and utensil you could think. (Knifes and forks could do with being replaced) I had to give up in the ovens as couldn't get anything to cook well in ether.

Note to English if your a bit dodgy on stairs these are higher steps than the average we have and will kill if you have knee issues.

The outside space is amazing and so well kept.

There was only 2 of us and we then had friends come to stay making 4 of us for a couple of days and we felt when trying to dine outside we could of benefitted from a large table instead of just small ones.

Pool temperature was around 24c the entire 2 weeks, when were reaching 30c air temp most days, so not bad.

Burn a scented candle and open the window in the down stairs bathroom it works a treat to combat a little smell issue.

Paul is brilliant , your personal holiday rep, caretaker and friend :-)

Road seemed a little nosy as it is on a main road as we live in the middle of country side at home. But we got used to it.

The insects are a little annoying but took them a week to start biting us.

Absolutely glorious 2 week holiday and we hope to return some time.

Beautiful house in the center of Andalucia

The house is beautiful!! The outside grounds and fruit trees were wonderful !! It was in a perfect location for us. We traveled to the coast, Nerja, we visited, Cordoba, Granada, Seville, and Caminito Del Rey!! Which was the highlight according to my children and husband. The villa is very big which was wonderful for the 6 of us. The pictures show the villa exactly as is. The property manager was very helpful when I became ill and had to see a doctor. There are a few improvements I think can make this house a 5 instead of a 4. They were all cosmetic in nature and would not deter me from booking this villa.I did tell the homeowners and hope they will make the few improvements. I would recommend this property to friends and family.

Excellent séjour : repos et visites touristiques

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour à Mollina : emplacement idéal pour visiter les principaux sites de l’Andalousie (Sévilla, Cordoba, Granada, Malaga, Ronda et même Almeria), avec de très beaux paysages (Torcal d’Antequera, Sierra Nevada, Costa del Sol, Sierras Subeticas, Karst de Sobas...), sous un soleil radieux ! La villa correspond en tout point au descriptif qui en est fait sur le web. Il n’y a aucun vis-à-vis (depuis la piscine, le jardin, les terrasses ou le solarium). Les propriétaires sont très réactifs en cas de problème et font tout pour satisfaire les besoins. Paul, le correspondant sur place, est très sympathique et serviable ; il répond sans délai aux sollicitations, y compris le dimanche. Pour ne rien gâcher, les animaux sont les bienvenus dans le grand jardin entièrement clôt. Le wifi performant est accessible partout dans la maison, jusqu’au bord de la piscine. L’équipement est complet : nous n’avons manqué de rien.

Seul bémol : la route qui permet d’accéder à la propriété peut gêner les allergiques au bruit (quelques camions en journée), mais permet d’accéder au village ou aux grands axes en moins de deux minutes. Excellent séjour, villa recommandée.

The nearest international airports are Malaga and Granada, both about 45 minutes drive, and Seville, which is about 1 hour away. The drive from Granada is particularly beautiful... Car hire is essential unless you do not intend to leave the property during your stay!

Antequera has all the usual attractions of any major county town, good shopping, a nice mix of bars and restaurants - but also unusual attractions like El Torcal National Park, The Wolf Park - where you can literally howl with the wolves, and the 5000 year old burial Dolmens.

Cortijo Las Vinas is at the crossroads of Andalucia and is perfect for visiting Granada, The Alhambra, Cordoba, Seville, Ronda or the coast.

  • All rooms are fully air conditioned with hot and cold air for all year round comfort. Ground flooring is Spanish Tile and upstairs is all Spanish Marble. In the villa, there are 3 bedrooms with double beds, one bedroom with 2 single beds and we have a cot for very small children. In the poolside annexe, there are 2 more luxury en suite bedrooms both with double beds, hair-dryers, hydrotherapy bath. All bed linen and towels are provided. Whether it be 2 persons or 12 persons staying at the villa, you have totally privacy. The annexe rooms are only rented when a group requires further accommodation during their stay.

Notes:
The very private, fully fenced and landscaped gardens feature large lawns, hosts of fruit and nut trees, wonderful views over the Plains of Antequera to the Snowy Mountains of Granada, an illuminated Pergola and more wildlife than we can say. There is also a gas barbecue for outdoor dining. The 8 metre by 5 metre kidney-shaped Pool is from 1.4 metres to 1.8 metres deep, with Roman Steps for easy access, a separate Diving Platform and is surrounded by a very sunny patio with masses of recliners and tables.
