"Sleeping among the Angels"

I've wanted to stay in this apartment since the first time I saw it online on VRBO. A wall of glass overlooking the Florentine roof tops, Santa Croce, the tower of Palazzo Vecchio and the dome of il Duomo was perfection. The sunrise each morning over the hills was a perfect way to start each day. It's a hike to get to the flat, with no lift, as the building is ancient, but worth every breathless step. The flat is central to everywhere you would want to visit and the grocery store is a convenient two blocks away. Understanding that there's hardly a concept of double insulated windows throughout Italy, street noise was able to be heard at some points. I'd suggest bringing a pair of ear plugs if you tend to be a light sleeper. The kitchen was ideal and a delight to cook in. The flat is perfect for one or two people and make sure you're comfortable with stairs. I guarantee that the climb is entirely worth it. Silvia was a delight to work with from the very beginning and her father was most gracious in assisting me with my ridiculously overpacked luggage. I would have brought my own Sherpa had I been willing to pay for an additional airline ticket. I wish I lived here! I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Firenze as I've found my new home from home! Thank you!

Wonderful apartment in a terrific location!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed in this apartment for 4 nights. We spent a lot of time researching where we wanted to stay and were very happy with our choice!

The apartment was bright, clean, and exactly what we expected from the pictures. The kitchen had all of the tools we needed to make our meals. We spent a lot of time on the deck, enjoying the spectacular view. The hot water in the shower was a bit sporadic - usually 2 minutes of hot water followed by 3-4 minutes of cold water, then 2 minutes of hot water again.

The location was ideal as we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go in Florence. The apartment is on the 4th floor, but it's worth the hike for the view overlooking the city. We would love to stay here again if we're ever lucky enough to make it back to Florence!

Artist and wine lovers dream!!

An enchanting apartment located in the penthouse of a 13 century palace.

The bright and airy living room, surrounded by windows, offered a spectacular view of Sacre

Croce. This apartment is located on a quiet street very near a quaint piazza with several outdoor restaurants. Centrally located near and easily walking distance, to the Duomo, Academia, Uffizie and Palazzo Vecchio.

Although we never had the opportunity to meet Sylvia, she was very helpful with the renting process. Lorenzo was a gem in helping us get to the apartment with all our luggage several flights up. Just getting to the apartment was an adventure in itself.

Since the bed is in the loft with a tight spiral staircase, I would only recommend a couple who are fit and able to get into tight space. The kitchen was very small but functional.

We enjoyed our stay here. Thank you Sylvia and Lorenzo.

All the best Allan and Mary

A Unique Perspective on Florence!

  • 5 of 5

A 4-night stay at this wonderful apartment re-kindled our love affair with Florence! To come home, after a day of walking the streets, to stunning floodlit views over the city, was absolutely magical and will leave indelible memories of a very special vacation.

Yes, this little studio apartment is up quite a few stairs, so pack light, but the gracious gentleman who warmly greeted us carried our bags up and showed us around. The apartment is exactly as depicted in the lovely photos, comfortable, well-equipped and perfect for a couple wishing for a quiet location away from the tourist throngs, yet within an easy walk to all the main sights.

We shopped locally at the little food stores and made good use of the kitchen, the shower water was hot, and as the weather was unseasonably mild, we sat out on the 2 terraces daily, admiring the views to the distant hills and hamlets.

All communication with the owner, Silvia, was prompt and courteous, and she truly has a gem of a place......... We will definitely return as soon as we can! Grazie mille per una buona vacanza!

Charming, Style,Romantic

We had a great relaxing time in florence, this studio is very comfortable and the perfect ambience for a romantic nights, nice and Clean, like the style of the decor, and all the facilities offered like Wi-Fi, good water pressure in the shower, etc.

The view at night and the sunrise of St Croce, the tower of the Palazo Vecchio is amazing (worth the climb to the 5th floor).

The location is excellent, easy to walk to the Duomo, to all the main Museums, Palaces, Train station SMN, restaurants and shopping center.

Silvia is a good hostess, very helpful, easy to keep in touch with Her for any needs or questions.

My Wife love Florence and we're planning to return to this beautiful City, and we'll use this studio again, and recommend our friends.

This apartment is all about the location and fantastic view of the Duomo, St. Croce and Palazzo Vecchio. Your hostess Silvia is very helpful. It is close to all the attractions and mostly quiet on the streets below. We loved it's charm and comfort. Be aware you have to carry luggage up 5 flights, travel light and enjoy!
