Stay at a 2bdrm/2bath, almost oceanfront (~60 ft from the shoreline), gorgeous & pristine, white tiled townhouse located in a four-star, gated, oceanfront complex on the Big Island of Hawaii. (Ironman Craig Alexander was a repeat guest and stayed here while placing 2nd and 1st in Kona Ironman.)
As our guest, you will know that you've found a heavenly piece of paradise as soon as you pull into our designated parking spot just 15 feet from front door. The bright tropical decor with beautiful white tiled floors will make you smile as you walk in and you'll anxiously check out the rest of unit and look forward to settling in and beginning the fun! After a fun filled day playing in the ocean, walking on the beach, strolling thru the lushly landscaped grounds or relaxing by the pool you'll happily retire to your comfortable home away from home. Everything you'll need to enjoy your vacation is in the unit and well-maintained for your comfort. And, when you finally decide to rest your eyes you'll do so with the sounds of surf to gently soothe you to sleep. In the morning the birds will serenade you to begin another wonderful day in paradise.
You will enjoy some ocean views from within the unit or while relaxing on your lanai. Did we mention that the pool is only 60 feet away from the unit? All you have to do is walk around the sacred heiau which is our 'backyard' and there's the pool. Or, you can just as easily walk less than 60 feet to the shoreline. If you're a regular tennis player or even just experimenting we have 3 lighted PREMIER surface courts and they're FREE for our guests. If you want lessons from a Pro that can also be easily arranged. And, yes, we have a couple of tennis racquets for our guests as well.

More about our complex - Located on world-famous Ali'i Drive the Keauhou Kona Surf and Racquet Club is a four star, gated complex just three minutes drive from groceries, shops, theater, and one of the most popular snorkeling beaches in Hawaii - Kahaluu State Park (also known as Turtle Beach). Additionally, the Kona Country Club golf course is located immediately next to the Surf and Racquet Club. There's even a FREE shuttle to get to and from town or the nearby shopping center - this shuttle stops next to the entry gates to our complex.
More about the unit - This unit sleeps four. The master bedroom includes a king bed, dresser, desk, TV, DVD player, clock radio, phone, oceanviews AND a walk in closet. The second bedroom includes twin beds, dresser, large closet and slight oceanview. Really, come let the waves lull you to sleep at night - it's wonderful.
The unit was completely remodeled in 2006 with brand new everything: furniture, appliances and other amenities. And it has new beautiful new white tile flooring and fresh paint throughout. (We continue to maintain it to perfection!)
Beach Supplies - We have beach towels, chairs, boogey board, cooler and even toys for the kids - just ask when you make reservation.
The location of condo and subsequent remodel was done with both our guests and our personal visits in mind. We wanted a place that we would LOVE on our return every year and it had to be in a GREAT location. We also made sure that it was furnished and decorated to accomodate all guests in comfort. After staying here you'll never want to stay in a hotel on vacation again!
In addition to all the other fun stuff our condo is a centrally located for visiting the Kona coffee plantations in nearby Holualoa, traveling to Volcanoes National Park, experiencing boating excursions off the Kailua-Kona pier, shopping at outdoor markets or taking a tour to the top of Mauna Kea and visiting the observatory. And it's only 3 minutes drive to Kahaluu State Park (aptly known as Turtle Beach) where you can snorkel and swim with the turtles and beautiful tropical fish. The park has multiple bathrooms, showers and vendors that sell food and rent snorkel and beach gear.

The unit is very clean, bright and well stocked, beach towels, beach chairs and cooler were great convenience. Owner provides good information and instructions. The complex has a fairly large pool, tennis courts (which my daughter and my nephew used almost everyday) and BBQ, walk a few feet and you can watch the sunset! My family enjoyed our stay very much!

The condo is wonderful, nice furniture and really good equipment, all what you need for enjoing your vacation. a nice place.
This property is part of a well established gated community right next to the sea. While there is no direct beach access there is a lovely beach within a few minutes walk. The property is close to a nice shopping centre, and 15 minutes from Kailua-Kona. There is another beach and boat harbour a few minutes drive to the south at Keauhou. A trolley service passes along this section of coast and is a good option if not driving.
There is a lovely pool on site and 3 tennis courts.
The house is very clean and tidy, and very well equipped. The bedrooms are very spacious. We really appreciated the large fridge and washer/ dryer. Having an upstairs and downstairs bathrooms was great.
We would definitely choose this property again if we were visiting Hawaii again.
Two senior couple of us stayed there for 7 nights. A great quiet location in the setting of a mini park and garen with public fecilities of swimming pool, tennis courts and BBQ set. Conveniet location- very close to sandy shore for swimming and watching beautiful sunsets. 3-4 minutes drive to a big grocery shopping center. 8-10 minutes driving distance to Kailua Village where all the day and night activities, shopping, eating and entertaining are located. We have the pleasure of summarizing our expriences of staying in this condo as follows: 1) The owner had been very friendly and patiently providing us all local travel information and answered all our questions. The condo was moderately aged, but we could feel that the owner and the property manager had been trying to maintain it well. The property manager was kind to allow us an ealier check-in and promplty helped us with water heater problem because a wall-switch was inccidently flipped off by our friend couple from Taiwan who did not know English sign. 2) As being warned before we checked-in, the dryer machine was extremely noisy while working. We killed 4 cockroaches found in two bed rooms during our stay (We did take out all house trashes every day) and lots of tiny flies in the two bathrooms staying on the wall and lied dead on the floor every day (I guessed they were tiny enought to come in through the window screens while attracted by lights). The condo had all basic toiletries in the bathroom, however adding shampoo and bathing liquid plus additional tissue boxes would be wonderful. Above being said, this condo is still a good choice for its location, pricing and the warmth of the people we dealth with. Aloha!
As we opened the front door, we were impressed by the 'feel' of the unit. We felt at home. The unit was spotless and fully equipped. The white tile floors set off the furnishings. It was tastefully decorated with a glass topped dining table and a bamboo sofa. The beds were so comfy. We appreciated the closeness of the pool and the BBQ. The ocean, (Turtle beach), was only minutes away. We would love to return to this unit the next time we visit Hawaii!
The townhouse was spotless, well appointed and well thought out while simple. We watched the sunset every night from just a few steps away from the house, cooked on the bbq, played tennis and enjoyed the pool after days snorkeling and exploring the island. The air around the house smells of jasmine flowers and the island is so so beautiful. The resort is in a good spot, close to a wonderful snorkel spot and away from the hubbub of Ali'i Drive in the center. As with most of the Big Island, you are kind of forced to drive everywhere which is unfortunate, but it is the same story wherever you stay on the island because it is big and the centers are spread out.
WE were 4: my parents and my sister and I. Number 59 was perfect for us and I would recommend it to anyone wanting a holiday home that won't break the bank!
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this townhouse. It was very clean and quiet and the bedrooms felt spacious and light. The location within the complex was ideal as it was close to the pool and to a lovely walk-to beach. The grounds felt expansive as compared to high density condos. It is a corner unit so has a lot of light within the unit and has an expansive view from the patio/lanai. We could see and hear the ocean from the complex but it was far enough away to not have our sleep interrupted by crashing waves. We really liked the overall location, being close to a great snorkeling beach, close to grocery shopping and close to Keauhou Bay where we enjoyed participating in the outrigger canoe club. We liked being away from main downtown Kona. There were several options for walking that didn't involved being on busy Alii Drive. Both the owner and local manager were very helpful and efficient. I highly recommend this rental and hope to return soon.

CANCELLATION POLICY and INTERNATIONAL TAX FEES
Credit Card - International Tax Fees
International Travelers will have international tax fees withheld from security deposit. For example: credit card processing for VRBO users in United States is 2.9%; international tax fees are an additional 2% totaling 4.9%. Guests using international card will have 2% of total credit card amount charged with-held from security deposit. No charge on domestic (US cards) regular 2.9%; charge on international tax fee only.
Our formal cancellation policy is strict - there are NO refunds. Reservations cancelled 60 or more days prior to arrival can have deposit applied to another stay within one year of original arrival date. Cancellations less than 60 days have NO REFUND.
On an informal note, we understand that the unexpected can happen and would do our best to rebook any cancelled nights/days and try to offer a corresponding refund.
Guests agree to honor all details in RENTAL AGREEMENT upon payment for this rental.
Security Deposit Refunds are set to automatically refund within 7-14 days of check-out. Housekeeper will supply information of damage and corresponding receipts if and when necessary. We're lucky that this rarely occurs!
Cleaning & Guest Supply Fee - this covers departure out-cleaning & tax fee for housekeeper AND it also covers one time stocking for paper towels, toilet paper, soaps (laundry, dishwasher, dish, hand, bath), plastic wrap, garbage bags, baggies, glass cleaner, dryer sheets, etc. so that guests do not need to purchase these items independently.
