About Connie Brueckner
I live in Missoula with my family to include our 4 year old son and 2 year old daughter. We are ambitious travelers and have enjoyed using vrbo and airbnb sites to find unique places to stay. We have learned from our experiences what we appreciate in a vacation rental home. We hope we have created a comfortable space for you to visit in Philipsburg, MT. The renovation of this home has been a labor of love for us. We spend a great deal of time here ourselves when we are not renting it to others. We are happy to share information on the Phiipsburg or Missoula areas as you need. Feel free to ask!
Connie Brueckner purchased this House in 2015
Why Connie Brueckner chose Philipsburg
We purchased this as a vacation home in 2015 after falling for the views, history, and proximity to downtown. This is a late 1800s property which we have lovingly restored to reflect the past as well as tying in some modern touches including upgraded appliances and strong wifi.
What makes this House unique
Morning sunrise from the living room and impressive and expansive views off the front porch. Easy easy access to hiking to the east of the property. Just a 3 block stroll to downtown. Fire pit and outdoor dining/bbq area out back. Home can be rented along with a guest cottage which offers an added bathroom and extra bedroom. The rental rate for the cottage is discounted to $45/night with the main house. We are continuing to work on enhancing the home for ourselves and our friends and guests. We genuinely welcome feedback so feel free to share your thoughts. Thank you!

So many thoughtful amenities, I felt like I was home!
The four of us spent five days over Christmas and even though the cottage is compact, it was so cozy and efficient, we were always relaxed and more than comfortable! Connie thought of everything and we were even gifted with a new blanket of snow on Christmas Eve; who could ask for more. I highly recommend this beautiful home if you’re planning a stay in lovely P-burg!
My wife and two kids and I had a great time in this house in P burg. The view from the porch was incredible. Sitting there having a morning coffee was a spiritual experience. Being able to walk to downtown was nice, as was proximity to local outdoor activities. We would highly recommend staying here if in the Philipsburg area.
Cozy house on the hill- all the necessary amenities for a lovely weekend getaway!
Perfect location to downhill and cross country ski in the winter! Hilltop Getaway was the perfect retreat to spend with friends; conversations with a view of the city and the perfect amount of space to cook after spending the day outside. Loading and unloading gear from our vehicle was convenient. I could see how in the summer the patios would have been lovely to sit on in the mornings to sip on coffee or in the evenings to look at the stars.
Lovely renovated bungalow with a great view
Connie is very helpful and responsive. The house held seven of us and it was very comfortable. House is renovated with alot off reclaimed materials-- loved this. Very easy to walk into town, or o drive out to Rock Creek. Loved it and actually extend our stay we liked it so much!
Nice house on the hill
Nice comfortable old house with some upgrades. Kitchen is well stocked, comfortable beds and the view is nice from up on the hill. The one issue we had was the separate unit was rented at the same time and that can be a little uncomfortable if you spend time on the back patio as that unit looks right down at you. Other than that, we really enjoyed the house.
We loved our stay at the Philipsburg Hilltop Getaway! The house has had a gorgeous (HGTV Fixer Upper-style) renovation. There are very nice small touches from the owners, and we were able to enjoy the fire pit as well. It was nice to have the washer/dryer after our ATV adventure, and when a storm rolled in (which we watched from the front porch), the flat screen TV and board games came in handy. The house was close to the main street shops and restaurants.
We will definitely be back when we return to Pburg!
Property is perched on hill above downtown Philipsburg. Short three block walk to main street and downtown amenities. Several restaurants and bars to enjoy as well as recreational and aesthetic activities. Museums, opera house, ghost town, jeep tours, mountain biking tours, ski hill, fly fishing, gem hunting etc.
