Not far from the Kapellenplatz, the heart of Kevelaer, you will find the Golden Lion in the traffic-calmed inner-city area in the Amsterdamer Straße.
When entering the listed building - with the unusual for a hotel number 13 - the eye enjoys the stylish ambience, which is based on the coffee houses of the turn of the century. Comfortable bentwood chairs and tables, Jugendstillüster and decorations and a beautiful old, original ceiling decoration adorn the premises and invite you to linger.
The 12 rooms are spread over 3 floors and are all individually decorated. In number 10 you will find e.g. an original French Art Nouveau bed by the artist Louis Majorelle from Nancy.
In number 13 is a spacious four-poster bed, in which not only fresh lovers sleep well. In the number. 12 a canopy adorns the bed; in No. 11, a lion guards the sleep of his guests.
The comfortable bathrooms reflect the style of the 20s, of course, with today's comfort.
Wi-Fi is available throughout the house free of charge.
For bicycles secured garaging is available, parking is available.
In the winter months the owners organize the concert series: Jazz in the Lion. Then the "coffee house" turns into a concert hall. Crowded the audience sits in front of the small stage and swings with the artists, who show their skills to the best.
