We had a great stay here, really cosy little cottage in such quaint surroundings. Test valley is a lovely area
Thank you for staying with us, you left our cottage lovely and tidy! We hope to see you again if you in our part of the world.
Not what we thought
The property could have been cleaner and when stripping the beds this morning there are stains on the bed protector which is not nice.
The two single beds are in a section where the wall slants down giving you hardly any room even for a small child and is very claustrophobic.
And you are not allowed on Bossington Park
We apologise that your stay was not satisfactory. We will rectify the issues you have brought up re the cleaning to ensure it does not spoil any future guests stay with us.
Even better than we were hoping for!
When can we return?! A stunning, quiet, relaxing place surrounded by beautiful countryside. We were particularly impressed with the sympathetic and tasteful renovation of the property.
Claire and guests were lovely and easy to communicate with. Always welcome back with us ..... hope to see you soon :)
Houghton is a small village and civil parish in the Test Valley district of Hampshire, England. The village is situated alongside the River Test. Its nearest town is Stockbridge, which lies approximately 1.8 miles (3 km) to the north-east. The village is a dispersed linear settlement, mostly strung out along the single road through the village, which broadly follows the course of the River Test north-south.
A number of public footpaths intersect in Houghton, including the Test Way and the Clarendon Way, which crosses the River Test at the lovely spreading footbridge known locally as 'Sheep Bridge', a beautiful spot much frequented by swans and ducks and visited by the occasional egret.
A historic town with a wide range of restaurant options ranging from 18th century inns to Asian fusion and a Rick Stein restaurant. There is also the largest farmers market in the country on the second to last and last Sunday of the month.
A busy market town that is 15 minutes from the farm. There are lots of eating options from recognisable chains such as Prezzo, to pubs and specialist individual restaurants and delis.
Another market town about 15 minutes south of the Farm with lots of independent shops to explore with a selection of chain and individual restaurants and a Sainsbury’s and M&S Food shop for groceries.
