Historic charm meets modern conveniences
We had a great stay. Once we got to the apartment the check in was easy. The apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The furnishings are simple but stylish. The best thing was the close location to the center of Padua and ease to get to the train station. Thanks!
Great Potential - Not Quite there yet
This apartment is in an excellent location, quiet and central with neighbourhood shops and restaurants nearby and within walking distance of many places of interest. However we were disappointed in several ways.
Our stay got off to a bad start because although we arrived exactly at the time we had arranged with Fabrizio no one was at the apartment to let us in. When we did manage to make contact with him he sounded surprised that we were there. The young lady who turned up eventually to let us in did her best but she didn't seem to know much about how things worked.
The living room had only one couch to sit on and we could have done with more comfortable chairs and better lighting for the evening.
The hot water in the shower was very inadequate and we never managed a completely hot shower the whole of the four weeks we were there.
As we were staying a month we could have done with more equipment in the kitchen.
With these sort of amendments this apartment would be excellent.
Clean, comfortable and in a good location.
We planned to take the local bus from train station to the apartment but it proved too difficult. We could not find the correct bus so opted for a taxi..12 euros. Much better option. We stayed 18 to 22 March and found the apartment very cold for the first few days. A note left told us NOT to adjust the temperature. Maybe owner should check with occupants and adjust the heating for them. Only other small issue would be a mirror in the double bedroom. The apartment is close to city centre, i.e., Piazza Erbe, Capitano and the Duomo.
It is well equipped, except for a kettle, beds are comfortable, plenty of linens and towels. Rooms are clean. It is also fairly secure.
There is a lovely wee coffee shop a few yards away on the corner run by a nice couple and a small shop across the street.
Overall we enjoyed our stay. Padua is a very interesting city especially if you are interested in churches, chapels, art, especially Giotto.
