Within walking distance of the centre of Midhurst which lies at the heart of the South Downs National Park, The Old Dairy is a fantastic place from which to explore the local area and all that it has to offer.
There is something for everyone from walking or mountain-biking on the South Downs Way (local bike hire available) to visiting the beautiful National Trust gardens at Woolbeding, Polo at Cowdray Park or visit the fantastic sandy beach at West Wittering. Goodwood is a short drive away.
The Old Dairy is a detached, single storey former dairy adjacent to our family home and sharing a driveway which forms a courtyard between the two properties.
The open plan living area has a fully functional kitchen with fridge (including small freezer compartment) oven, hob, extractor fan, microwave oven, washing machine, kettle & toaster. There is a table and chairs for two, a sofa and a TV with Freeview as well as a Bluetooth speaker and a selection of books and games. There is also a full length mirror.
The living area is separated from the bedroom by a sliding door.
The bedroom has a double bed with mattress topper and king size quilt. The duvet and pillows are feather and down and the bed linen is Egyptian cotton. Within the bedroom, there is a freestanding bath with hand held spray attachment, toilet & sink (toiletries are provided). There is a privacy screen separating the two functions but it is essentially open plan (please see photos 7 and 8) Double glass doors open on to the patio. As the patio leads into our garden there are muslin curtains at the doors to provide additional privacy during the day without blocking the light as well as blackout roller blinds to all of the bedroom windows for night time. There is also a fan.
There are USB charging points in the living area and bedroom.
The Old Dairy has under floor heating and a combination boiler which provides hot water on demand.
Outside to the rear is a small patio area with a table and chairs. There is also an outside light.
To the front is a shared parking area with 1 guest parking space. This is well lit by the street lamp opposite our home and an outside light to the front door (which will be left on for you if you are arriving after dark)
I offer self check-in and will send details in good time prior to your stay.
There is an information folder in the Old Dairy containing suggestions for things to do, places to visit and eating out, together with a selection of leaflets for local attractions. My house manual and instructions for any equipment can also be found here.
If you have any questions or need any help then I am always available either through HomeAway messaging or in person (I am just next door, please feel free to call on me) but otherwise I will leave you to enjoy your stay.
Accommodation is provided on a self-catering basis. I will also provide a small amount of tea, coffee, sugar and milk together with washing up basics, tea towels, cooking oil, salt, pepper, kitchen roll, foil and cling film.
My husband, Alistair is a keen road rider and is happy to advise on routes, please ask. Bicycle hire is available locally (a five minute walk away) If you would like to bring your own then you are welcome to store them on the guest patio.
