A minute's walk from the beach, Koop's Landing features four bedrooms, three with queen-sized beds and the fourth with twin beds. There are two full bathrooms and a large, private outdoor shower. The cozy screen porch has rocking chairs and a sun porch off the side. There is a porch swing downstairs and place to hang the hammock stored in the garage. Sunset Beach is the southernmost barrier island on the North Carolina coastline. It's three miles from end-to-end and has a wide, white sand beach. You can walk down the west end of adjacent Bird Island, a coastal preserve that is home to endangered and threatened species, including the Kemp's Ridley and Loggerhead sea turtles. Don't forget to bring your bike when you come. It's a great place to ride, both on the beach and in the bike lanes on the roads. you can rent bikes at Julie's across from Pier. There are great restaurants and shops nearby. The famous seafood destination, Calabash, NC, is just a few miles away. Plus, it's just a 20-minute drive to Myrtle Beach and a 45-minute drive to Wilmington, NC.
