Alcossebre is a quiet coastal town situated just 30 minutes from busy Castellon. Alcossebre is situated in a beautiful part of Spain known as 'The Costa del Azahar' - The Orange Blossom Coast, an area where there are still lots of beautiful unspoilt villages. This is real Spain, not a typical 'package tour' destination.

The opening of Castellon airport means that transfer times are only 20 minutes. Alternatively, airports at Valencia and Reus are only just over an hour away.

Alcossebre must be one of the most pleasant resorts on the Costa de Azahar. It is backed by hills and has superb sandy beaches in small bays which stretch south for miles. The resort, which has retained its native charm and friendly atmosphere, has a little harbour full of yachts and a good selection of shops, bars, restaurants.

The spectacular villa is elevated on a hillside and enjoys panoramic views of the town and sea that are second to none in the area. Furnished by a local interior designer, it has 5 bedrooms and sleeps 11 people in comfort.

The property has central heating perfect for a winter stay.

Outside there is a heated pool, sun terrace and a large BBQ terrace all enjoying the spectacular views.

Other Activities: Water park and go-karting at Benicassm

Golf: Two 18 hole golf courses within approx 30 minutes drive one is the renowned Bernhard Langer Panoramica Golf Course.

Great villa in a great location

  • 5 of 5

All the previous reviews about this property are correct.

I have just spent 2 weeks there with 9 others and do not have a single complaint.

if you choose to visit you will not be disappointed.

The description is correct, the view from the upper balcony is the best in Alcossebre. I'm fairly sure I could see Majorca on a clear day.

We will return in the future.

Ps flying to the local airport made life very easy and I can recommend Marco car hire. The most straightforward car pick up I have had anywhere in the world.

Property with lovely views in a quiet part of the town

  • 4 of 5

This property is situate above Alcossebre with lovely views out to sea and along the coast. The pool is perfect for cooling down in and the many beaches - both rocky and sandy depending on which you prefer - are a very short drive away if you want to swim. We loved the snorkelling on the closest beach, which benefitted from being within the National Park and therefore there was lots to sea. I also hired a road bike as the surrounding area is perfect (and also challenging) for both road and off road cycling. Indeed, the National Park has many off road trials whilst road routes include both inland and coastal routes. Just remember that you will always need to cycle up the fairly steep hill to the property at the end of every ride.

The town benefitted from both some excellent small delis and also a decent supermarket. We used Antonios for our meat and cheese and the Supermarket for just about everything else. Bread can be bought from the Supermarket, but the Panaderia next to Antonio's was fresh daily.

In terms of activities, a day out to Morrella, which included lunch was excellent as was a trip to the St Josep caves, which can only be accessed by boat. Peniscola was a popular town but parking was difficult and prices high. We ate out in Alossebre as well, which had a number of restaurants producing food from traditional through to pizza and Mexican.

The house had an excellent master bedroom. Those in bedrooms on the lower floor did get bitten by mosquitos. We had a number of BBQs on the lovely patio looking out across the bay whilst breakfast and lunch were taken on the balcony adjoining the kitchen, again with superb views. You will need to do a shop before you arrive to cover the first day prior to getting your bearings.

Overall, a very nice property suitable for both families and adult groups who wish to chill. Would also suit cycling enthusiasts.

Fantastic villa in beautiful location.

  • 5 of 5

We booked this villa for 7 of us as a family holiday 5 adults and 2 children, the villa is extremely spacious and accommodated us with room to spare. David and Estelle had supplied a welcome pack which had everything needed to start off your holiday which was greatly received as we arrived so late, Rob and Yvonne who look after the villa could not of been more accommodating, from coming to find us at 11.30pm on the first night as we got lost on arrival to providing us with an extremely clean and well kept villa and even going as far as organising a taxi so we could go and celebrate my parents wedding anniversary in the local marina ( We tried to book it ourselves but our Spanish wasn't good and needing a mini bus was tricky but Rob sorted this for us with drop off and collection ) The villa itself is beautiful being at the top of the urbanisation allowed for amazing views mixed with a welcomed breeze, the pool was stunning and easily took all of us and alot of lilos and rings :-) i really cant recommend this villa enough we had a fantastic holiday, Thanks guys for making our summer holiday. :-)

Excellent villa

  • 5 of 5

This villa was perfect for our holiday this year.

It is 11 years since we first visited Alcossebre and we have returned there many times over the years.

The villa offers a good degree of privacy and if anything its facilities are not overstated. All rooms are of a good size and the outdoor sitting/sunning areas are excellent.

Although there are only two of us and the villa might seem a little large for our needs, the layout is such that when various relatives visited we were able to accommodate them very comfortably.

Our only regret was that we did not book for longer.

Absolutely no negatives on this villa or on our holiday

Fantastic villa in beautiful location.

  • 5 of 5

I have booked many properties through this website but this villa is head and shoulders above anywhere else we have stayed. The villa itself is spotless and very well appointed. The views out over the town and the sea are truly breathtaking and can be enjoyed from the many terraces and extensive outside space. The pool is terrific and much bigger than it looks in the photos.

Alcossebre is a lovely town - big enough to have plenty of restaurants and facilities but small enough to avoid that "resort" feeling. The are several beautiful beaches to visit and many attractions to visit along the coast. Peniscola and Valencia both well worth a visit.

One of the other reviewers says he doesn't usually return to the same place twice but would make an exception in this case and I couldn't agree more. We will certainly be back!
