In Conil with a coastline of 16 km, we find virgin beaches, coves, cliffs and coastal pine forests. The climate is Mediterranean type with mild temperatures throughout the year and absence of extreme values in summer and winter. It has an average temperature of 17º C, about 3,200 hours of sunshine and 700 mm of precipitation per year.
If you want to know more about the town and its people, I invite you to spend in the afternoon to the daily auction of vegetables in the Cooperativa Agrícola Nuestra Sra. De las Virtudes that supplies most of the supermarkets and greengrocers in the region , Conil's tomatoes are famous !!!
There is also a daily auction at the fish market of the Port of Conil where you can see the arrival of the boats and their catches, take advantage of it and learn to distinguish a bream, an urta, a borriquete or a snapper.
In Cádiz street you can tapas and dug up the typical gastronomy of the area, try to enter the bar "El Sopa" or "Juan María" and order the dish that you have taken this year to the "route of the almadraba tuna". If you have time, try the tuna carpaccio in "Francisco de la Fontanilla" or the tuna tartare in "La Ola". Tuna from Almadraba, of course. Conil de la Frontera is located on the coast of La Janda, just 40km from Cádiz, the capital. From here and less than 1 hour by car you can visit the Natural Parks of the province: Sierra de Grazalema, P. N. Alcornocales, P. N. del Estrecho, P. N. marismas and Breña del Barbate, P. N. Bay of Cádiz and P. National of Doñana.
Sea lovers can kayak around the coast, surf in the Palmar, Kite surf in the mouth of the Salado and Castilnovo, snorkel in the cove of oil, diving in the Fuente del Gallo and Cala del Puntalejos.
If you like angling, you will enjoy trying to capture the mackerel, horse mackerel and snooker, or, with luck, you will catch a gilthead bream.

Sierra de Cádiz, "climb to the Risco Blanco" (request prior authorization) in the Alcornocales NP, "Torre de Meca and del Tajo" in the La Breña NP and Marismas del Barbate or a walk taking advantage of the low tide from the beach of The Bateles to the Trafalgar Lighthouse, passing by the Palmar beach (22km round trip).
If you are an ornithologist, I recommend a visit to P. N. Bay of Cádiz to contemplate the flamingos or observation towers of the metropolitan P. Los Toruños and Pinar de la Algaida or the passage of migratory birds across the Strait.
If you prefer horse riding, you can go horse riding in one of the Conil's riding schools, see the show of how the Andalusian horses dance in Jerez (take the opportunity to visit a winery) or attend the Equestrian Circuit of the Sun in Vejer.
If you like Archeology and History, be sure to visit Cadiz and the Museum of Las Cortes, the Archaeological Museum, Gadir and the Torre Tavira among others or the archaeological site of Baelo Claudia on the wonderful beach of Bologna.
