We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Boston, and this house was perfect for us. It was a family vacation with 7 adults and one child and we had plenty of space. The property is well-located, with easy access to all the activities of interest to our group.
Horrible owner and horrible conditions...
Owner Aiuha.. pls stop advertising on Home Away
You have to think about what you are doing.
On the first date, we realize our mistake what there was no exit .. because we had already paid the rent.
She didn't accept payment over www.homeaway.com regarding commission.
Can you imagine ? His son is living in basement and she never told us
Rats are passing through on front of us ( That's not a joke ..First I thought that this is a Cat )
DIRTY, UNPOLITE ... LACK OF COMMUNICATION
Forget about this choise
The property was listed as being "very close" Harvard Square and Fenway Park; "steps away from a local library and numerous stores". It was none of those. None of these venues was walk-able and I had small children staying with me. I found this out a few days after I paid in full but still about four months before my planned stay. I called Mrs. Harris for a refund thinking that four months was plenty of time for her to secure another tenant. She absolutely refused to give me back my $7,000+ payment saying it was "against her policy." That was terrible customer service; the description she provided to Home Away was false advertising. The home was not completely renovated; there was a re-done bathroom on the second floor and the bathroom on the third floor reaked of urine. There was NOT ample parking on the street; it was a heavily settled area on a group of one way streets where cars could only go 5-10 miles/hour because it was so crowded. We had to park far away and lug our suitcases to the house. I was not happy at all with this vacation. I certainly felt duped.
Booked my Executive and got great reviews. They were visiting Boston with a large group of 8, which included 4 small boys. I received great reviews regarding their stay. Thank you, Ms. Harris for being available at all hours and so accommodating.
I travelled to Boston with my husband and two brothers-in-law to go to some games. Hotel rooms are crazy expensive so we searched for a multiple bedroom home with a good location. This was all we could have hoped for!!! Lots of space for everyone to enjoy and easy walking distance to Harvard and many restaurants and shops. The owner met us at the unit and gave us lots of information about the neighbourhood (residential and very quiet). We would stay there again in a heartbeat.
We came to Boston for the first time for a family wedding. Both my family and my brother's family (total of 10) stayed at this property. We enjoyed the stay very much. The house was spacious enough for all of us and it was clean and in a quiet neighborhood. We were a few blocks away from the bus stop that took us directly to the subway. We were close enough to Harvard to walk. Traveling from place to place was great. The owner was very nice and helpful with area information. I would definately recommend this place to someone looking for a place to stay in Boston.
